You're seeing final assembly. The Engineers who designed the engines, the manufacturers who built the components to specs are not shown here. So the final assembly guy gets his name on the engine but he's like the you after bringing home furniture from Ikea, he's just doing final assembly, which is pretty easy actually.

Yes, and thats why it is called the hot V, but it has also the shortest air ducting hence reducing response time and keeps the whole engine slim. Engeneering is almost always about finding the best compromise. You have almost always a trade of advantages vs problems and you have to choose.

They can’t build the SL anymore. We have rejected our 2nd in 6 months. One had casting sand from the ending in the water system. So the cooling fans would go wild(needed about 40flushes) took 4 months to reject that was supposed to collect on the 28th (today) but it didn’t start when they were doing pre handover checks I think it’s something to do with the fuses they had to recall. I guess they need to redo them

The brushes are different from those public car washes. Also there has never been a car full of sand and other abrasive materials in there. Public automated car washes scratch your paint because they are contaminated with all kinds of dirt.
