When I learned that Betty had cancer, I completely lost it and cried like crazy.

in real life she was pregnant. in the show there were suspecting she might have thyroid cancer which was behind her weight gain.

Ginsburg is the real tragedy of this show..he had such potential as a character and they squandered it into some strange bit. They set him up so good in season 5 only to have him fizzle out into nothing. A Real shame…

It's a retcon. You notice them upon multiple viewings. Like Joan and Roger in season 1 just started doin the dirty deed, when it was revealed in episode 4 or 5. 'Waldorf Stories' in season 4 retcons this, having Roger and Joan in a relationship before Don even works at Sterling Cooper. Even Don growing up in a whorehouse is a retcon. In season 1 we see Dick as a kid in a room which could easily be the farmhouse. In season 5's "Signal 30" Don says he "grew up in a place like this" while he is in a whorehouse for business reasons. Which probably just references the fact that his mother was a prostitute, and he was raised by a woman that was not his blood with a brother that was half his blood. This is very indecent and shameful in more sophisticated areas at the time. But then in season 6 (having Don finally start cheating again although he basically did in season 5 a couple of times) we get the origin of Don's sexuality, playing off of the line from the previous season, and using the old house we first saw Dick in as a child, which didn't get used for the later flashbacks in season 1 (and I think 3?) where we see Dick as a kid. Actually the later flashbacks showed Don moving to Mac's after his dad died but it still wasn't a whorehouse until season 6, where they also retcon how old Don was when he moved. Looking maybe 14 or 15.

I remember watching this episode and thinking that Megan was such a bitch for thinking that Betty just wanted to call Don.Betty was scared and she couldn't find Henry. Is it so bad for her to get comforted by her ex husband?
@paolagrando50794 жыл бұрын
It's a tricky situation. If you have a stable and mature relationship between your partner and your ex it can work but let's be honest the majority of times, in real life, that's not the case. We lack communication, the good one even less.

When that girl backstage sais she would do what Brian Jones asked, I wonder how many people knew how he treated girls like that? I loved his image and musicianship but he was a womanizer who beat many of them, including Anita Pallenberg.

Yes, she does. They were in the middle of a marriage crisis, but Henry was the reason she wanted the divorce. And the way Don finds out about her affair is not the most pleasant or ideal one.
