As much as staying at SJP would be ideal. I can’t see the PIF writing a cheque for 1.3B just to add 8,000 seats. I feel it’s time for a purpose built brand new stadium an 80,000 seater at least is required. A once in a generation task, that will last forever.

Gone are the days where football is a sport, it is a business and will need to grow. SJP has been great but I think if we don't take this chance to build a new home then it would hold the club back from competing with the biggest clubs. As long as the build has football as the main focus then the atmosphere will not be lost.

We love st james' and it's design makes it an iconic English stadium, but renovating isn't really feasible. The revenue lost during the renovation would be detrimental to income, too many challenges in regards to planning permissions due to surrounding areas etc.... for me, and new stadium makes more sense, it can be designed to be the "Wembley of the north" to usually world class stadium that players want to play in etc....

They should move out closer to the airport. There are excellent road and metro connections and the land will be cheap especially in comparison to the present stadium which could raise lots of funds. An 80,000 seat stadium would be filled.

Constructing a stadium on the current arena site has found that there wouldn’t be enough space given the steep decline that leads to the river Tyne. I know. I walk across the Redheugh bridge constantly. Building a new stadium in Leazes Park despite complexities is the best way forward in my opinion.

They can quarry into the ground,as ,the Montreal Olympic stadium,which was quarried into granite hard rock, unlike the far softer ground under St James park .By quarrying the listed building to the east won't be affected with light issues.

They used to keep a record of how many people were on the waiting list for season tickets, they don't do that now but a couple of years ago it was 40.000+ a lot of people looked at that list and thought why bother, if Man U can expand to 100,000 why cant we build a 100,000 capacity stadium, obviously we will have to move both location and with the times.

Newcastle do need to move to a new stadium, and to meet demand it needs to be over 80,000 in capacity, ideally 100,000 for big games like champions league games. They can easily do 80,000 for league games. By far the best supported club in England. They were selling out 50,000 in the second tier!

It would take the restructuring of major roads in and out of the city. Newcastle cannot expand their stadium outward on any side, they can only expand upward.
