I'm certainly glad that you started this channel. I've learned a lot since I subscribed. Some of what I've learned, I've been able to adapt to my own musicianship. I find it interesting that you provide online learning experiences. I actually considered it for about 125 milliseconds. It took me that long to remember that I can't sing. I would even be embarrassed to have somebody of your caliber hear me make an attempt. I play the soprano saxophone. As far as wind instruments go, I only play the soprano saxophone. I have two of them and they have two distinct personalities. One is a straight soprano and the other is curved. The straight soprano or sop as I call it is laid back and easy going. The curved sop can be a bit cantankerous and takes somewhat more finesse to play. I play as a hobby. I've never had a paid gig. I practice about 6 days a week and usually go for about two hours per practice. At times, I have gotten lost in the music and ended up with a four or more hour practice. That can be exhausting so I am pretty good at keeping an eye on time. I also play or I should say, I used to play the guitar. In my teens (about 90 years ago) my mother had a friend that she had growing up give me guitar lessons. He was a cellist with the Detroit Symphony Orchestra and a classical guitarist. I spent two years with him. At times, it could be kind of grueling. Wow, that was a long time ago. At any rate, I broke three of the fingers on my left hand a few years ago. My pinky still only goes just past 90 degrees when I try to straighten it. It just became too painful to move up and down the fret board. The funny thing is that I can finger the notes on a saxophone just fine. I guess that while similar, the mechanical movements of fingering notes on a fret board and fingering the notes on a saxophone are just that much different. I did have to find ways to use the table keys on my sops. Those are the keys that you press using your left pinky finger. Wow! I didn't expect to go this in depth. I apologize. That is my musical life, though in a nutshell. For listening enjoyment, I like rock from the late 1950s through the 80s most as well as contemporary pop. I just finished transcribing "Unchained Melody" by the Righteous Brothers for my sop. It really sounds sweet on the soprano sax. So does "Somewhere Over the Rainbow." ...and more. Okay, I've got to quit typing. I'm going to take up too much of your time. Thanks for reading this! Speaking of time and time travel, I was going to tell you a joke about time travel but, you didn't get it.
