The real artist is the one who created that software! He just builds the structure with the exact measurements the software gives him. There's a reason why the software tools are kept blurry through the video.

@@8castro2 Technically you can do it with any 3D software. Do all the measurements that correctly represent real world space, project 2D images onto 3D planes digitally, decide on your materials, print them out, set them up in a location. Those require LOTS of planning and hardwork. It's more about precise engineering than expressive art.

My favorite ones have two vantage points. I see how he does it: He divides the first image into parts, then in the 3D software he individually moves each part back, staying perpendicular to the first image plane, at distances that draw a second image when viewed from a side plane. He can also get creative with the shapes of each part. Very clever!

Parametric art that can be used in parametric architecture. This is the future where data streaming and art finds common ground. Such approach could be used easily in architecture freely. Artists deserves recognition for all the breakthrough they do with their inventions. He is a pioneer using parametric programming for his perspective pieces. Imagine the amount of artists out there that performs great work and we do not anything about them. This should be our priority too. We must search for them and know their work.

The ones with the uniform balls can be done very easily with a 3D modeling program, which you can see one guy using. The others can also be done this way, but not as easily. The more impressive ones have all different shapes, sizes, and colors of objects. The thing that would take the longest for most of these would be cutting the different lengths of string and placing them in the corresponding position on the grid.

The software used is sketchup. It is a 3D modeling software used primarily in architectural firms to model building/ floor plans. Honestly very easy program to use. But yes props to the software developers!
