Why would the host say such a cruel and unusual remarks about the death of someone and then tearing down a successful black wrestler at that? Extremely poor taste and you will rot in hell for that one. Aside from the tasteless behavior of the host, I loved Cody's story about his the Goldust impersonator acting gay but not getting any reaction these days because 2010s and being gay doesn't create any shock value anymore since it's largely accepted. It just shows the strides America has made from a day and age where all you had to do was be gay to be such a hated heel and now no one bats an eye. Makes me proud to be a 35 year old gay male. Honestly, I hated the boos Goldust got as a kid because Val Venis did the same thing only towards women and no one bat an eyelash at him, but it was oohhhhhhhhhh so evil and bad to the fans with Goldust. But in the end, that's what made Goldust magical. His shock value. Wouldn't have much effect these days like Goldust's story.

We can now look back at Goldust and see why it was a great character (Thanks to Dustin's devotion and talent) and we can see how he wasn't given the full potential. Goldust is one of those ultimate heels that made it entertaining to be up against anybody, because he's being and manouvers antagonized the opponent and their fans. He should have been given more and a reign of this "wreck everybody up", but that flame was diminished with the Roddy Piper match. That should have been a bigger climatic feud/match after giving Goldust his due.

So there’s a difference between 1998 Goldust and 2002 Goldust. In 1998 I remember thin being fed up with Terri but and demanding to get a divorce. He says he’s suffocating and later comes out with Luna who had him on a leash wearing women’s underwear crawling with a gag on I’m like OMG!!! Creeped the hell out of me! Plus he was playing a bad guy I just thought that the idea of a very aggressive sex weirdo was terrifying to me haha I was 11!! Sable seemed like the most normal person in that company! Luna herself was terrifying to me. Seeing Sable kick her ass every week was fun. But as time went on I liked how he wrestled he was weird but kicked ass. In 2002 he returns and I oddly was glad he came in at the rumble haha! Him teaming with Booker was funny and they got down to business! Goldust is weird but man he can wrestle and hits hard that’s what 15 yo some would say in 2002-2003. When he was doing the turrets as wrong and funny as that was he still kicked butt! I went back and watched his promos I appreciate the work he did. I love Dusty and must of sucked having to suck up your pride absorb all punishment to keep the Rhodes name alive even if it makes a mockery yet oddly still respected, and unknowingly pave the way for Cody Rhodes! Man that makes me cry. Strong man this common man still fighting strong now at 34
