Man that's great! For the two years I've had my 77 F-250 I still need to change out my rear slider trim rubber. You make it look easy

@@michaeledwards8051 thanks bud I appreciate it, yeah it’s not terrible to do but does take some patience, you’re definitely better off doing it with the weather hot or at least warm because it will make a difference and make it easier to deal with, I did mine in the winter to be ready for summer and I should have waited but I still got it done. Good luck on yours and nice truck by the way, the 76 and 77’s are my two favorite years out of them all. Thanks for watching.

@@FastFords289 did you buy this as a complete window? or did you rebuild it, im trying to get felt seals for the slider on my 76 cab chasis
@FastFords289 Жыл бұрын
@@harleythrelkeld7587 I bought it out of a ford truck in the junk yard. Idk if you can even buy the seals and such for those windows anymore except the outside perimeter seal, that’s the only one. Good luck on your build, thanks for watching.

@@FastFords289 thanks, been wanting to keep the aluminum window components and not go to black but it its what it is i guess lol

@@harleythrelkeld7587 you’re welcome. yeah, I’ve never really cared for the all black trim windows which is all you can buy new now unfortunately. I bought mine from a junkyard but it’s still almost like new, everything is tight and the seals don’t leak so I got a good deal. If you’re wanting one like mine, I’d check around your local scrap yards and on eBay, and hey pop up there from time to time. Thanks for watching.

Someone told me to spray hairspray on the new rubber when installing. It goes on wet and slips into place easy, and then dries with a little bit of stickiness to hold it just a touch better. What do you think?
@FastFords2895 ай бұрын
@@michaeledwards8051 that’s interesting, I’ve never heard that before, I mean it kinda makes sense, I’m not sure how long you’d have to work with it though before it started drying on you though especially if you’re doing it during the summer when it’s hot out, I’d think it would dry too fast and then make it more difficult to work with because of the tackiness. Plus ford never installed a sealer on the rear glass anyway so it’s not needed. I removed my original glass and it had no sealer and never leaked, I installed my sliding glass and didn’t use any sealer and hasn’t leaked a drop so truthfully I think it would probably cause more problems than it would help. Hope this helps, thanks for watching.
