Welcome to my KZbin channel. This channel is the home for all your vintage Mid-Year Corvette content. In todays video I install the front bumpers on the 63 split by myself with the aid of my chain hoists. I also finish up the car and send it home. In next weeks video I will show off the next new project and its back to the MYM roots of building a car that had a bad day so be sure to check that out!
I just finished restoring a 1963 Corvette Split Window and I am starting another split window build but this time its a race car build. I will be making videos every Friday. I will be making videos on my 1963 Corvette Split Window, my dad's 1965 Corvette, my race car split window build, my friends 1960 Corvette, and other projects that I find along the way. Let me know what you think about the video. Enjoy!!
If you are interested in an official MYM hat or if you have any questions please send me an email to midyearmitch@gmail.com.
Check out my Instagram for some behind the scenes pics of my builds.

Sit back and enjoy the show!

Mitch the whole video was fantastic. What an assembly process, very cool. But if anyone reads my comments you know what my favorite part was and is cause I'm gonna watch it again. Yep it was the Misfit. I sure miss it. Shop dogs are a must, bless everyone of them. Have a great week, be safe.

Thanks Jim! I’m happy with the way this hot rod came out. This was phase 1. Phase 2 has a potential to be much more wild than phase 2 lol. That’s in the works still. I had to throw the misfit in there. I couldn’t resist lol. That car was too ridiculous. Yes shop dogs are great.

I am pretty sure that dachsund has some Chihuahua in their family tree - Chihuahuas INVENTED the Napoleon complex - pint sized dogs that think they're Dobermans. Great job on the C2! It looks great.

Haha they are wild. Our last dachshund was less psycho. This one is nuts haha. Thanks I appreciate it!

Hey there Mitch, This was a nice build. The finished car looks and runs great! I hope you had fun doing it, as I did watching. Let's see what's next! BTW, that Atomic Orange C6 at 7:54 looks just like mine. Take care, Dan

Thanks Dan! It was fun to start with a running car and end with a running car. That doesn’t always happen lol. I normally start with junk and end with a project car. Hey I really like that color. The Orange really stuck with me when they came out. Take care and enjoy that vette.

Just subscribed. I really want to build a full c2 from scratch, no donor car. Thinking roadster shop fast track chassis. No idea about the body, apparently there's some people making completely new from scratch bird cages. As well as the body to go with it. One place makes all the panels in carbon fiber. I would love to make a car with entirely carbon panels/skins. No paint or bonding visible. Just clearcoated carbon. Does seem like that might be impossible though. Amazing car btw. This build is an inspiration to me.

Mitch, your “about“ section says your dad had a 65. Did you ever change the fuel pump in it?
@MidYearMitch

Yes we have changed the fuel pump in the past. I think I made a video about putting a fuel pump on my red 63 a couple years back.
