Greg I just want to say thanks, 3-4 years ago at the beginning of highschool I was having lots of trouble finding a hobby/interest but then i got into cars, I always love learning about cars, how thy work, what each part does, how to make them better, and so on. I don't own a miata, but since I started watching your videos a year and a half ago they have taught so much about cars/engines. For this I am extremely grateful. There are very few good automotive youtube channels, most are just rich kids flaunting their gtr's and such. Please keep making more videos like this.

Nikki Naydenov That's awesome to hear man and thanks so much for watching. I make the videos the way I do because I love teaching people about car stuff. Hopefully in the next couple months I'll at least be able to flaunt a 350hp+ Miata 😁. Cheers

When it comes to the videos, keep them shorter with one thing at a time but make sure you pack them with every ounce of info you can because you're really good at providing info along with explaining everything, that's what makes you different from a lot of other youtubers

Greg, I'm sort of in the same boat as Nikki, I don't own a Miata...YET! And after watching your videos, I'm wanting one more and more! I wish someone would have videos like yours on an ND, or you can do turbo on an ND...LOL! Those locking studs, I used them on my headers for my Camaro, they were a pain to put on the header bolts, but in time I was able to do it and had no worries of the nut backing out. I'm slowly going through all your videos, long, short and in-between, they're all very good and informative with good details. Thank you for all you do!

I like more videos per week. Keep up one of the best car channels on youtube, the most clear instructions and thorough. Well not as thorough as chris-fix but he is ridiculous wayyyyy over the top. You should see his "how to start an old car" video. Basically replace every part on the car first was his solution. Meanwhile on roadkill they would have just hooked up a battery put in some fuel and cranked it over. He turned it into a multi day process it was ridiculous it was like a joke.

Funny, just finished re-tightening all my turbo manifold and manifold to turbo nuts this morning. This is an upgrade that is in my future I do believe. Greg are you going to do any turbo bracing to reduce stress and avoid cracks on the turbo manifold welds and what not? Curious how the low hanger manifolds hold up. My brother was routinely (well twice) cracking his FM manifold on his race car and eventually just braced it with some steel angled up from the block and no problems since.

Wow that a great invension. Also what you think about running 3inch straight exhaust with stock muffler? Also put exhaust cut-out valve, and make twin exit miata also I would love to see pulls when it's closed so you can blow that muffler. Another idea, cut muffler in half to go inside.remove all those baffles and sh*t and make nice stock look "muffler"

Hey Boosted! Yeah the style and detail would remain exactly the same, just cut down into individual jobs. And at the end of the day, I just want this series to be a nice polished up Miata encyclopedia.

Hey Greg, I noticed you installed a gasket where the turbo meets the manifold. However many companies like FM and Begi suggest not using a gasket because the surfaces are machined flat and should seal. They claim that the gasket typically breaks or blows out. Whats your reasoning for using a gasket? I'm guessing its a BorgWarner thing?
@TheCarPassionChannel
@TheCarPassionChannel 7 жыл бұрын
1. it was included with the turbo. 2. I've never had a turbo gasket fail unless the mounting hardware comes loose. 3. It's not worth the risk of having a leak there, you just start losing performance so fast. :)

Cool product, but thats a lot of money spent, when you could just tac weld the nuts on. Even factoring in replacing the nuts and bolts each time, youd still be good to weld them and cut them about 4+ times before it even becomes close to the money spent on these fancy nuts.
