Installing QA1 rear suspension on a 1969 C10!!

In todays video we install QA1 rear suspension on the 1969 C10! This build is coming along nicely, we will be posting videos as we make progress on the truck!

Looks great, doing this same exact setup on my 65, I'm hoping they come out with the qa1 front cross member around the time I'm ready for it!

@@BeSeenMotorsports yeah now that I look I look at the other Crossmembers they have for other trucks I think it'll be over 2k with the rack n pinion. I don't think I can swing that since I've kinda gone big on a lot of other parts already lol. I think it's something I can get by without for now

Yeah same here unfortunately. I dont plan to spend that and go rack in pinion. I am upgraded the steering gear box though.

@@BeSeenMotorsports I was looking at the borgeson since I'm trying to buy mostly USA made if possible. For a few hundred more I can do the No Limit R&P so I think I'll go that route

I am in the process of installing a front to back qa1 system and as for the C-Notch are there holes to make sure that you cut in the same place on both sides? I’ll get there eventually but I was just watching and wondering

Yes there are bolt holes to line you up.

Yep first I have a video this week of a little install we did on my 86 c10 then I have a update video on the 69 build! We’ve been busy with body work, we’re on the upside of everything now!

Is it necessary to cut the frame with this kit? Not a fan of cutting frame.

Yes but the kit comes with a nice C-notch plate.

How is the front & rear suspension kit from QA1 working for you? Is it good? Is it stiff? Any complaints?

Truck isn’t complete yet, working on the body right now. As far as the quality and installation of the suspension I’d say it’s top notch.

Thanks for posting this. I’m doing the same on my ‘68. Couple of questions for you. What did you finish your frame with? When you cut your C notch, did the back half drop at all? Did QA1 suggest that you brace the frame before cutting? Cheers and thanks again, Gary

Hey Gary! I had my frame powder coated gloss black any touch ups Iv had to do I use por 15 top coat. When I did the C notch the back half did not drop, but I didn’t have any weight on it bc the bed and everything is off. Good luck with your ‘68 build!
