The Instant Pot is also a very good Rice Cooker.
In this video, I will show you how to make perfect white rice using two types of rice; Sona Masoori Rice and Basmati Rice.
For measuring, I will be using the measuring cup that comes with the Instant Pot.

I definitely don't see Sona Masoori at the local grocer, so happy to hear of another type of rice. In Colorado Springs, which is at 6000ft, one cup of water seems insufficient. Going to try 1.25 cups of water to 1c rice next time.

Sometimes it depends on rice so try to adjust the water a bit .If you see water in the bottom try to reduce the water by 1/4th cup. Depending on the quantity the Natural pressure release can take any time from 15-30mins.

Timings will be same. The instant pot might take a little longer to come to pressure.

Has anyone tried the Basmati rice recipe? The person sets it for 6 mins but then says it'll be cooked in 15 mins! So what is it? Setting it for 6 mins or 15 mins?

Let all of the pressure release naturally. Will take about 15 mins. The float valve will come down
