Your message today is so necessary. We are at a point in society where it is clear to me that there is cause to examine and re-examine everything we think we know. Conversations are seeming to begin from a conclusion that was fed rather than gained via examination, pertaining to almost all "news". If we simply examine the basic conclusion, which is actually someone else's assumption, the false narrative crumbles before it can begin. This is also true for the type of energy zapping conversations you speak of, which I gave up long ago. Sometimes, the only outcome we achieve is to thoroughly frustrate ourselves and the person we are speaking with, which actually can reinforce our reluctance to accept new information, rather than come away with a broader knowledge base. We are living in divisive times, which I think most people can agree with. While such an intellectual environment is not considered immediately as positive, we can work with it to challenge ourselves. To me, the quest for truth and to shine in truth during an hour of deception all around me, became my divine opportunity to grow in my ability to introduce and receive new information and be heard by those unknowingly resisting letting such information in. Of course, this was only possible after habitual barriers were thoroughly demolished via chronic frustration and fruitless dialogue(lol). Only when I questioned myself with the "How CAN I affect this...?", was I able to see results. It was no easy thing to realize. I think it's important to mention that my goal is never to convince anyone to agree with my views; I don't have the authority to impose that on anyone. My hope was to contribute to the overall pool of knowledge regarding any given topic, because there is no choice if the "choice" is based on information that is one sided. We often hold our positions of opinion without consciously having decided this is where we stand, instead we are unconsciously guided by questions we answered long ago, or by learned belief systems that are not necessarily our own. Unlearning is probably the hardest part, because it really unravels everything we stand on...like a partial demolition, but the important part is that it leads to a rebuild. The easiest way I have found to begin the unlearning, is to pose all things as a question and let our minds do the rest. Our minds don't search for answers that are already filed in the database of our memories as solutions, so to phrase everything as a question begins to awaken our minds to continuously seek better answers, even those we already "know". The ultimate point of my comment is to convey exactly this; that to question is beneficial to the self in ways I can't stress enough. To question is to be confident in unknowing is to preserve or restore an innocence and wonder that alleviates the cynicism of wisdom, the agony of boredom, the conflict of accepting the crooked ways of the world, and it offers a little breathing room that gives asylum to the free exchange of ideas. To question is to view everything through the eyes of a child, is to remove the harmful aspects of being judgemental, which naturally forages a path of harmony absent of fatal compromise. Thank you for inspiring me to put this into words.

Well stated, and I am grateful that you took the time to organize your thoughts on my video. I wish you the best as we all try to navigate these perilous times, and as we forge forward with our desire to grow and expand as individuals.

Strong, pragmatic and true insight. However, that intellectual awakening must be cultivated. It is important to speak to the unawakened in such a way that challenges them to cultivate inner growth. It is only by holding each other's feet to the fire that our society maintains its virtue, let alone grow. Great content and good luck!

Indeed, this is why I test people for humility through asking them questions, Socratic style, just to see if they are open enough to dialogue. Thanks for the feedback, be well.

I made a video on the two forms of accountability that you see in our world; arbitrary accountability such as man made laws and regulations, and objective accountability which is based on natural law and reason. You might find it useful or enjoyable. www.bitchute.com/video/KIMkZ9b4gJTH/

Wow you hit it it right on the button. I didn't start to know anything even with my many degrees until I realized that even with all the knowledge I had obtained that I know nothing at all. Everything as I start to be more aware becomes more and more foreign to me even though I thought I knew what there was to know about things around us everyday but lil did I know I was completely ignorant about most things that are around us everyday. This was a very good video it pretty much explains how I feel and I'm sure others have been feeling the same the more we realize we have been deceived most of our lives. Thanks for this video.

They literally try to suck you dry. It's definetly not worth even having a conversation past hello and goodbye. This is really good advice I feel exactly the same you can not have a mature conversation with someone that k ow it all and is not open to new ideas.

Can you go into more detail on how you became intellectually humble? I'd love to hear your story. Great video btw, truth like this needs to be heard by more people.

Thank you. Sure thing, my ability to see that I didn't know as much as I thought I knew started because I went through an excruciatingly painful divorce and custody battle. From that experience I was able to surmise that I obviously had faults, and that I was lacking quite a bit of understanding about life, myself, relationships, and the world around me. It forced me to reflect often and deeply on many things, and the experience helped me to build the intellectual and emotional foundation that I now live my life from.

I just made a video about false vs true humility, and included the story about my own awakening to it, since you asked about it. kzbin.info/www/bejne/qpfFoWhtZZpgm8U

Not sure if avoidance is the right answer. Maybe the challenge would be better for you. Thoughts?

Avoidance? Please explain? I do not recall advocating avoidance, and it runs contrary to everything we stand for. Integration, minimum standards (healthy boundaries), and working through and processing our upsets as they arise, is what we advocate.

Thanks for your reply. Surrounding yourself with people that agree with you ... I understand that you wouldn't want ALL of your acquaintances to be people that you can't have a "real" conversation with or have a "real" relationship with, but those people are also part of our lives and include family members and people of importance where their ideas need to be challenged so as to not be silent. I think of a boxer. I always question my intelligence, so I don't mean to try to sound smart. I am a very simple guy(I wanted to say "dude" there). Being in the computer field for most of my life gave me challenges on a daily basis. This helped me to grow. If I avoided challenge throughout my life, I would have stagnated.

I agree that we should not avoid challenges, and that avoidance of what is in our life misses the point and prohibits our growth, however, this is not the same as exercising healthy boundaries and minimum standards to avoid pointless power struggles that only lead to energy drains. You can learn more about this by reading the various parenting books by "Love & Logic", or books on how to set, maintain, and enforce healthy boundaries. I discuss healthy boundaries and how to set them often in my videos, articles, and memes as well, if you are interested.

Hi Nathan..excellent advice..bob on. And for eg. I really did lol the other day listening to one of the more awoken historical researchers when he said that trying to debate the insane Holocaust story (oh yes it must have a capital H ) with the great majority of people is like playing a game of chess with a pigeon, strutting all about pecking violently at everything including the other player and shitting all over the place. Priceless. : )

At least half of the individuals commenting on KZbin should watch this and write a paper on it before given the privilege to post anything. But no-one reads them anyway - perhaps it will help the strong AI in it's futile effort to become conscious or make it's etheric head explode. Like mine attempted to when people cheered in New York when a bill authorizing infanticide in hospital delivery rooms. There's something amazing happening on the planet. Now. And tomorrow. I cannot know what it is, or where it leads, but it is amazing. What would it be like - if you and everyone else's thoughts emotions were open to read and feel and share telepathically? Could we coalesce and be polite, honesty would be a given. And build a civilization that works for the good of the all?

Hello I was watching your video on the Mandela effect. September 7th 2016. It's kind of weird for me to say this but the timeline matches up. I had enrolled to itt tech back in 2007ish but I was informed by several people back then that the institute was going through some financial mumbo jumbo with the federal government. ITT TECH SHUT DOWN IN 2008. YET if you look up the actual close date for the institute countrywide is September 6 2016. This is very weird.
