just gotta say, your whole zoomed-in, whip-pans following the action you're dictating is excellent. The swish zoom sound fx are cute but IMO not necessary, the content is good enough that it doesn't need help. Still great stuff. subbed.

nice vid for something quick, might work well for a background animation, but it kinda lacks weight and feel. it seems like there isnt actually any friction between the person and the water, but the person is simply swimming slowly. the water isnt whats slowing them down, it cant, its weightless and can be pushed and moved around without effort.
@Yikkib Жыл бұрын
Thanks for the feedback 🤔 maybe if we bumped up the resolution of the simulation it may feel better?
@TheOGComfyBoy Жыл бұрын
@@Yikkib yeah im not a blender wizz, so i dont really know HOW to do it, but i was just giving you feedback on it in general. i dont think upping the res would work, it would just make the simulation a little more accurate. the water would still be weightless.

Great video. It worked for me but one hitch. I used a face-up octagonal cone yet when the simulation ran it flowed outward into a square shape. Why is that? How do I keep it as an octagon?
@Yikkib Жыл бұрын
Hey there. I'm not too sure 🤔 is the octagonal cone used for the water itself?
@phoenicia1313 Жыл бұрын
@@Yikkib its an octagon shaped pool basically. I just don't want the water to leak out
@Yikkib Жыл бұрын
Hmm. I recommend adding a solidify modifier and a collision modifier and see if that does the trick
@kabrownie11 ай бұрын
hello, the simulation works great but the water animation moves in the opposite direction

I don‘t have the APIC in the simulation Metho ,

How do you select the skin? I've tried but I'm at a loss of ideas. The material also fails to appear in render.
@cafey2148 Жыл бұрын
same problem, anyone got an idea on how to fix it?
@samuelthalmann4646 Жыл бұрын
Don't know if this is still relevant for you but I think he meant selecting the mesh, not the rig. So it's basically the "skin".

If we hid water, then how do we render it? I tried following the tutorial, but it doesn't show the same result as yours. Water is not visible at all
@Yikkib Жыл бұрын
Hey there, the domain should be the "new" water. In my case, the water remains a cube that doesn't interact with the scene but it is still visible in a final render, which is why I hide it.

When i add a water physics on water object, it changed my domain object's domain physics to flow physics too. vice versa.... Can I get a hint please??? If i rude i apolozize.. my english is too bad

Idk about yall but this does not work for me. Or does it only work with a lot of movement? And not with an ship floating trough it?
@Yikkib Жыл бұрын
For a ship, I would recommend using an ocean modifier, shrink-wrapping a plane, and constraining your ship to the location/rotation of the plane
