Hi Alivia. I’m not going to say too much about who I am, but what I will say is that I used to be a full-time dancer. Then one day, I suffered a terrible injury, causing me to lose all my flexibility. Thus I had to start again from scratch to regain my flexibility. It was really hard, and I was finding it hard to do many of the beginner stretches which I once found so easy to do. Then I cam across your channel. Your enthusiasm motivates me everyday! Your stretches were really helpful, and I began to regain my flexibility. All I can say is thank you so much,it’s because of you that I am what I am today😊. I’m now almost fully recovered. Thanks so much!

Hey Alivia, I remember discovering your channel like a half year ago and I wasn't able to do most of your stretches. Now, after stretching daily, working out hard and pushing past my limits I became really flexible. I can now do the the splits with both legs in a proper way, a high leg hold and I am getting closer and closer to my middle splits and you keep motivating me! So, thank you really much. Oh and by the way the sentence "The Pain you feel today will be the strength you feel tomorrow" is so true and motivating :D

This was a really great and informative video! I love the motivation you say and how you keep a timer in the corner. But there are a few things that you could improve on: 1. During the stretches it would be nice to know exactly what muscle we should feel being stretched for us newbies who have no idea what we're doing. 2. Jump cuts during the video make it difficult to follow along. In video your doing a stretch then you immediately jump cut to the next one while the audience is still trying to move out of the first one. It makes it a bit annoying to keep having to pause the video between each move

Make sure you warm up your muscles! Especially in the morning! You could be doing more harm than good. I recommend a brief cardio workout or running in place for 5 min to get everything warm. If you stretch on cold muscles your more prone to injury. Also maybe take a hot shower first. Just be extra careful in the morning!

Starting this stretch routine as someone who legit can’t even spread my legs while straight past a 90° L shape, or can’t touch my ankles without slightly bending at my knees, when I get to 5:15 I have to come up with my own modifications 😭😭😭😭 like right off the bat I tuck in the leg I’m not stretching towards while still trying to push it out away from my extended leg. Then at 10:20 my personal goal is literally just to be able to extend my leg straight up without a bend at my knee, forget about touching the floor 😭😭 this is why I need this routine 😅😅😅

[ Tip take pictures when your doing this then you can actually see the difference ] One of my fav quotes In 4 weeks you’ll feel it In 8 weeks you’ll see it In 10 weeks you’ll achieve it Btw I’m not the flexible I’m really bad like I couldn’t even touch my toes Alrighty 1st day doing this it hurts so bad i really wanted to get out of doing the middle splits and I did I couldn’t handle it 1/10 2nd day still hurts rlly bad no difference but I tried my best to stay in the middle splits 1.5/10 3rd day I noticed like a really small difference in the part where you sit and push your legs down ( srry idk the name ) the rest hurts 2/10 4th day I thought I’d improve bit by bit but today Idek It hurt alote more today 1/10 5th-9th day just like the 2nd day still hurts but not too bad 3 /10 10th day I see a difference even thought I’m in pain I carry on and I can see just small improvements 3/10 10 - 13th day same as the 10th but it hurts a little less - still no where near where I want to be I’m still not that flexible 4/10 14th Day oK ok so I’m really happy when she puts her head down on her leg I could do it and it didn’t hurt to bad ( I sadly can’t do it with my right leg tho ) and even tho I literally can just put my head on my leg I feel really happy 5/10 15th day - I forgot to do it and I’m honestly upset about it 16th day - because I forgot to do it yesterday it was a little bit harder tbh but now what I’m thinking is doing this twice a day maybe instead when I wake up and before I go to bed maybe? 17th - I did it in the morning today imma do it tonight too I hope I can ( tbh I only did like 5 stretches of this in the moring then I had to start my day ) I did the full thing at night tmmr imma actually try do it tmmr morning and night 18th day forgot to do it in the morning oops :( I did it today and some stretches hurt a little less now but the always hurts really bad when I push myself 19th day today idk why but everything just hurted a lot I was really trying to push my self and I tbh I’m so happy that I can just about put my head on my leg ( only my left leg tho ) but yay! 20th day I’m never gonna get over the fact that I can put my head on my leg withought it hurts ( doing it on my right leg hurts a lil tho ) it doesn’t hurt that much - the stretches - except the last one the middle splits and the other splits ( T^T ) but I’m improving 21 at day it all hurted a lot idk why but I’ve noticed just small differences in the bit where you lie down and then lift one of your legs up as far as you can ((: 22 day I did it I just forgot to write it TvT 23 day I was really sick and . . . I didn’t do it - 2nd time I haven’t done it :( 24 day because I didn’t yesterday and as I was sick yesterday I just payed in bed and I pushed myself out of bed today and did it and of course most stuff hurted but I noticed that basically when I did mot of these I always heard a pop or crack somewhere in my body and idk why but I was happy cOs like near the end stretches I couldn’t hear no pops I idek what I’m saying anymore lmao 25 day I did two hours of pe at school and when I came home and did this I still heard a couple cracks defo not as much as yesterday tho but I’ve noticed some improvements in my middle splits! 26 th day idk why but I just really wanted to push myself with my middle splits and I just kept pushing and I was in pain like so bad 27th it was good I can tell I have done some improvements :^ 28th I’ve been lazy today lmao and I did it today and just tried rlly hard to push myself with the middle splits 29th didn’t do it I was too busy I felt so sad :( 30th just finshed and yikes and I have tests for the next two weeks so idk if I’ll have time, I really hope I do 31st day idk why but I feel like I’m not really progressing :/ 32 nd day why am I not progressingggg :c idk what I’m doing wrong every time I do this is hurts I pull as hard as a I can but I won’t do anything it’s almost been 5 weeks :( 33rd not done 34 not done 35 sorry guys but I’m not carrying this on. I can’t see any Differences I may come back soon but maybe not . Left ; Wednesday 11 December I hope I make someone’s day and tbh I do see difference this does work it just takes patience I’ll try my best to keep up with this

Deep Suicide I understand exactly how you feel. I’ve been dancing for years and it always feels like I’m never making progress. Of course I probably haven’t pushed myself as much as I should have or as much as you but I’ve learned that holding the stretches longer each time yields better results. When I was in studio, I never got my splits until one day I asked my teacher what I could do over the summer and she recommended autum miller. In her videos I stretched and held the splits for 3 minutes then 3:15 then 3:30 everyday until finally I got it!! Another thing that helped is wall splits or partner work. Getting someone to help push me against the wall or push my legs down worked miles. Lastly and most importantly when building flexibility it’s important to also build strength. Building up strength while building flexibility can help you sustain it. Without the strength to sustain it, you may just be over stretching. While liv May not show it, she uses the flexibility every day for technique and other things to help solidify her flexibility. Actually I lied; the most important part of getting those splits is OVERSPLITS. that’s like the key (or so I’ve been told many many times) to getting splits faster and more efficiently. Ik u probably don’t stretch any more, and I’m sorry this is super long, but I just wanted to let u know and give u some encouragement. Check out Audi’s flexibility tips

you may not be seeing differences because you need to start doing more advanced stretches! I can see that in the beginning this really helped you and has made you more flexible, but if you don't increase the difficulty then you won't see anymore change, hope that helped

Dear Alivia, I have been practicing these stretches every second day this week and I have DEFIENTLY seen the difference I just want to say a big thank you for everything. You are my inspiration!! Also do you stretch every day?? Lots of love from Tash

Around a year ago I was working towards this video (a lot of the stretches required more flexibility than I had just to create the pose). However I was trying to stretch with minimal warming up (huge mistake). I would stretch one day and be a few inches off my split, then the next day I would be a foot off and in pain. I recently restarted, but now warming up properly (at least 2km running) and I’ve felt no pain at all. This is only my second day doing this routine as I had to work up to it again, but I’ve been loving it. I love how motivational it is, and unlike a few commenters I do actually like the music,

First day and my legs are shaking 😫 I couldn't do some of the poses/didn't think I was doing them correctly! I do feel looser though. Is this how everyone starts?
@pricefield61017 жыл бұрын
coreyistrash x, If you aren't used to it at all, it's normal that your body feels a little weird. Just don't exaggerate it. Push until you feel the stretch deeply, but don't push further and feel a sharp pain. Just stay consistent a stretch daily. If you do that, you should get used to it and see results quite quickly :)

I'm so glad I found this. I used to be a dancer but now I have to kids so I'm not as flexible as I used to be. This is amazing and not annoying like other stretch videos. The music is awesome and the pace is perfect. I'm not close to the ground yet with the stretches but your words are encouraging. THANK YOU!

Hey hey Ima be checking in until I get my splits. Srry im a bit late, I started off medium flexibility. I was close but not that close to getting my splits. ✨Day 1✨•Today was not too shabby felt pretty tight but it’s day one so. Overall got through the vid had to pause a couple of times. ✨Day 2:✨•same as day 1 but less pausing. Still a bit tight ✨Day 3-5✨•Same length of how close I am to the floor as day 1-2. Less pausing. ✨Day 6✨:•I stretched a long time before starting this challenge so I was trying to get back the flexibility I had, but Never actually got the splits I only got closer and closer. ✨Day 7:✨•Felt really good about today literally no pauses. I was able to hold the wall splits the whole 40 seconds... YAYAAA thank GOD! ✨Day 8:✨•So today I noticed my straddle got wider. Like I used to have a kinda v looking straddle but now it’s gotten almost as flat as alivias straddle. Splits got down further on my Right, left got a bit Better aswell. ✨Day 9:✨•I felt more comfortable in both my splits. I held them for around 1 min strait and it hurt a lot but I got down farther. NO PAIN NO GAIN AM I RIGHT????? ✨Day 10-11:✨•same as day 9 ✨Day 12:✨•Today I stretched for around 30 mins and I think I overstretched or something cause when I went to get into my splits I was very tight and didn’t get down very far. ✨Day 13:✨I was so tight today, I tried getting into my splits but lost motivation ✨Day 14:✨Rest day cause I don’t have that much motivation and also because I think my body needs a break I’ll update tmr. ✨Day 15:✨ ✨Day 16:✨ ✨Day 17:✨ ✨Day 18:✨ ✨Day 19:✨ ✨Day 20:✨

This is a really good beginner stretching routine! I am obviously not a beginner, but these are the stretches that I try and do daily and almost always weekly. These are basic stretches that are great for anyone because you can take it as far as you can until you are in discomfort.

Thank you for making these videos. I pulled my inner thigh muscle more than 10 years ago, and never did anything about it, so my flexibility in that leg has been very limited since. I've only followed your routine for a couple of weeks, but the improvement I've made is already noticeable and stretching it doesn't hurt nearly as much as it used to.

Personally, I find it really hard to not reach the point of "sharp pain" but just stay in the discomfort zone. I very often get cramps in my hips when I do middle split stretches. Any tips for that? (Little side note: the music was quite a bit louder than your voice in this video, so maybe that's something you could do differently in the future: make them a bit more alike. Thanks! :-))
@Core4ever107 жыл бұрын
Kim - Dansen in de storm - May want to take more time in the stretch. Start small. Till discomfort. Then take a little extra time to push it open till it really stretches with out extreme pain and hold it. I find that helps me as she speeds through all the stretches and some of us need more time to get the muscles to relax into the stretches.
