Good interview, I’ve done low carb/keto for 4 years but weight was still stubborn. I needed to lose 40 pounds, doing OMAD now, started with intermittent fasting with a larger earring window. I’ve lost 30 pounds now and almost down to my “normal” BMI. I walk every day & do HIIT & weights. The last 5-6 pounds are being stubborn but I’ll get there. I’ll be 70 in 6 months….menopause really resets your metabolism back but there are ways around it.

Also I will say my home scan numbers are good and actually improved over 2 years and my glucose meter numbers are improved (pre-diabetic A1C last year) but I expect that to improve

Really appreciate your questions Dr.Nolte and your guest’s insight. So relieved to know I’m not alone. Menopause has been a b$tch - and I had no idea what was happening to me (neither did my Dr. and all the specialists she sent me to). I gained 30lbs this past year. So many crazy meno symptoms- brain fog, dizzy, extreme fatigue, inability to focus. Giving IF, tracking macros and Keto a go with 2 meals a day 18/6. Within 2 weeks I have no joint pain (previously I hurt all over) and feeling greater energy. Walking and weight training has also really helped. Working toward OMAD. Great interview- thank you!

Do update us on how the black coffee is going. I feel I just can’t stomach it black and rather go without it. I loved your guest today; she looks amazing and is so positive; it was very refreshing to listen to.

I know “acquired taste” is a cliche, but our tastebuds really can change. I don’t know that anyone starts off liking coffee black. I definitely didn’t, but after sticking with it for a while, I was okay with it. Then I was more than okay. And now I really like it. :-) You can also try gradually reducing cream, sweetener, etc till it’s black. 👍

@@kentcovington Very good point. About 20 years ago I always had sugar in my coffee and then I went cold turkey and got sed to having just milk. Now I never think about adding sugar or sweetener anymore. Think I might give it another go without my usual almond milk...

So true that we don't have to believe all of our thoughts aka our limiting beliefs! Love learning about the intermittent fasting as it relates to peri-menopause and menopause.

Very good information!! Thank you so much!! I just have a question regarding eating window. If we have 4 hours eating window , how many meals or snacks we should eat or just one meal in that time frame? Do we still have to watch calories what we consume ?
@drmorgannolte2 жыл бұрын
A 4-hour eating window may be good for 1-2 meals. More than calories I recommend watching macros - getting at least 30 grams of high quality protein per meal, healthy fat, and fiber.

Nothing after 6 pm. Nothing before 10 am. 3 minute jumping jacks first thing in morning. Repeat. In a month you will be down 10 to 20 pounds. Double that in 2 months.

Thanks for watching, we hope you found this video helpful!
