@@ZeketheZealot I agree that the response about sending a car once available was ridiculous, but honestly, it's safer for officers to approach traffic stops in pairs because you never know what kind of crazy you're walking up on. I literally just watched a video, not an hour ago, where a female police officer approached a man sleeping in his vehicle on private property and once she woke him up the interaction started as normal as could be; not long into the interaction the subject held up a piece of paper for her to inspect and then abruptly put a pistol in her face. She's seen struggling with him and screaming in the video, "no! No! No! No! Please don't shoot me!" A second officer had been en route to her location for backup and when he heard some detail over the radio that sounded fishy (something about the vehicle info not coming back right, I think), he started speeding toward her location, which he was initially struggling to find, and he arrived and ran up as she was wrestling with the suspect through the window of his vehicle as he pulled a second gun. She was busy trying to point his first weapon down, away from her, fighting for her life, and couldn't get to her weapon. The second officer approached right about the time the second gun was produced and shot through the windshield, fatally injuring the man, dispatching the threat. It turned out he'd been on a meth bender; killed someone; then kidnapped his own family members and forced them to help hide the body. Then he fled the state and was actively being searched for, though this incident happened several states away.

So, I'd like to provide backup for the East Tennessee Santa... 1. His HIPAA claim checks out, as it is basically standard protocol for medical staff (to the point that several details are only shared with the patient or if said patient agrees, a second party of sorts like a family member). Aside from possibly losing their job, the leaker would also lose quite a bit of credibility for breaking what's one of the golden rules in the medical field. 2. The hospital and the family have been through enough turmoil, why give them more of it? I know there are quite a few cases of scams out in the open, but stop... is clout really that necessary?

Unfortunately I think a majority of people only do 'good deeds" when they know they'll get recognition, fame, money, etc. At this point people that do kind things without expecting something in return are a rarity. Social media is just clumped with people filming their good acts for internet points. I think some of them may be good people but a lot of them are just in it for the money they get from exploiting people at their most vulnerable moments. I doubt they ask for permission before filming (even though technically it's not illegal but it's morally not right imo) because it's like get filmed when you're living on the streets and get money to eat? Or refuse and probably get nothing.
@Azby648 ай бұрын
@@luminvader8911 Good deeds without the expectation of compensation are actually remarkably common. Social media termites have amassed such a massive ball of pessimism among already exhausted people that I recall just totally not noticing even when I did significantly considerate things for people until it was pointed out to me. Then I started noticing it a whole lot more by paying attention to the day to day and focusing on positive, if simple, news stories. The people filming themselves giving a homeless person a cupcake make us feel like no one would ever do something nice if it weren't seen, and it's despicable.

The story of Francisco (Homeless hero) really touched me. Here you have this man who blamed himself for not being there to save his son to the point his whole life came crashing down, but even though he was at rock bottom he did something extraordinary, he risked his life to save a woman he's never met. He fought a man with a gun and stood over him as he was dying like a badass, like a hero. He gave that woman a chance to live her life at the cost of his own. What I find aggravating about the Ariel Castro story is those three women wouldn't have suffered if the police and justice system weren't completely incompetent. Castro's ex was repeatedly assaulted by him even after she left him and took custody of their children. In one of the incidents, she was beaten so badly, she got a blood clot that caused an inoperable tumour. Despite all of this and the fact he was even frequently abducting her kids, a grand jury did not indict him on domestic assault charges and later a temporary restraining order she was granted was dismissed a few months later. She ended up dying to complications from that brain tumour. Two concerned neighbours did what the police and justice system failed to do for over 10 years.

They may not be able to verify Santa's story, but one thing human's are EXTREMELY HECKING GOOD AT is picking up the slightest deviation or oddity in facial expressions conveying emotions. It's the exact reason faces are so hard to draw. We catch every flaw. That santa is 100% telling the truth, or something very close to it in my mind.

God bless Eric. Unfortunately we live in a world where people have to scrutinize everything they see. I understand certain times it’s justified but this man has nothing to gain lying about something like that. Big ups Santa👍
@sexygirlmax20199 ай бұрын
Sadly we have to fact check and scrutinize everything. The media lies to us. Just a couple days ago in NY i think, around the Christmas tree there was protests about ending the genocide of Palestinians, and IRL recorded footage showed said protest chanting...The news? "Oh everyones cheering and laughing and excited!!" and they put fake applause and crowd noises over the footage and made sure not to show any of the protestors. The media WILL lie to you

Good question why would he lie

Is not like he started a new career… he kept doing his regular job. So I don’t think he was lying.

Wavy, I'm glad you're here. Not many put a focus on making positive content sometimes to break the chaos. However, here you are sharing some heartwarming stories on a platform full of drama and controversy. Thank you, Wavy. We ALL appreciate you're work.

How can a man be found incompetent to attend trial for certain actions, but later be held accountable for those same actions?
@squiglemcsquigle84146 ай бұрын
The court orders therapy sessions till the person is deemed mentally competent again
@YourWaywardDestiny6 ай бұрын
Simple. Someone has to be mentally present enough to understand the court, and at the same time mental health is not a shield for dangerous behavior. Regardless of his state, he did those things. How his unwell state at the time didn't become a mitigating factor when sentencing rolled around is the actual suspicious part here.
@kerrysater1574 ай бұрын
He was declared mentally competent in October 2018 and was then able to stand trial. Being mentally incompetent to stand trial isn't permanent. It just means the person is put in a mental health hospital and given treatment until they can be declared competent

i think any faith in humanity that i might have gained from the story of the guy who rescued those kids from a burning house was negated by the fact that he had medical bills afterwards... the hospital really should've said "nah this one's on us" in that case 😭😭😭

I remember when the news broke that those 3 girls were found/had finally escaped. It was breaking news in my city all day. I remember breaking down in my partner's arms many times the more I learned about the hell those girls/women endured. I was trafficked and SA'ed as a child and the neighbor that trafficked me had plans to kidnap me for good and take me to a place where I could be his legal wife and change my name at a very young age. I've met one of the women at an event for NCMEC, and she was incredibly warm and kind despite the pain she has endured. The spirit of a woman is unbreakable. There are men in the world that are so evil and weak that they think harming women will give them the power and control they so desperately want...But we will always be the destruction of their sick desires and audacity. At age 6, I knew to save evidence of what was happening to me. Those 3 women waited over a decade for the right moment to escape. Evil men will always be brought into the light....If not to justice...My evil man blew his head off on my birthday. I drove to Florida to piss on his grave.

Everyone here has benefited their fellow human. My favorite thing about all this is that every single one of them is that theyre all so different from each other. And elderly man who knew his way around guns, a middle school kid who loves vehicles, a charasmatic, dude with a craving for McDonald's, a homeless down on his luck guy with a second chance, a pizza delivery man who did not fear the flame, a man who brings the joy of Christmas to everyone around him, and many others. They all deserve respect and admiration and i love how anyone in this commnet section no matter what your life may be like can be a hero.
