I speak Polish and I never knew such a language existed. Whoever came up with it a genius! I was able to understand 98%. I agree with another poster that this should be taught in Slavic schools. It's so useful. We are all brothers and sisters. It's nice to be able to understand eachother, especially Bulgarian, Russian and Belarusian which are quite different. The Bulgarian guy I couldn't understand at all, so it still does no good if the other person doesn't speak it.

Part of the reason why you didn't understand much of what the Bulgarian guy said is because of his pronunciation. I'm Bulgarian so understood him perfectly, but he was using too many colloquial words and didn't make an effort to speak clearly. Did you hear Serbian as it sounds? And do you know it's 90% similar to Sanskrit? Sorry but your comment sounds so pointless. Because you do not know that the whole of Europe is from London to Spain, to the South to the Greek Italy. And to the East to the Asia of China, one language was spoken, including Sanskrit India. It was Serbian . Hence the saying " Spoke the Serbian so that the whole world understands you!" But slowly, in two years you will be taught the true history of the world. The English admitted that London was the Serbian City, the Thames the Serbian River. Like the rest of Europe, Berlin was Brljin. And they will have to admit it all publicly. Because they found Serbian graves across the UK, and Spain, 3200 years old. As much as the Serbs held the Olympus. You will be surprised to hear that the ancient Greeks did not even exist, as did Carlo the Grate.

Yeah, Andrej used a lot of older archaic-ish words (or at least words that are being less frequently used) in Croatian that some slavic languages still use. For example, stablo / drvo, vrata / dveri (pretty sure that dveri is actually archaic, I've heard no one use that like ever). Limbo Prime, I’ve really misused the term) Just read about Cyrillic script, god knows why I thought this term included only Belarusian, Ukrainian and Russian alphabets. That aside, I meant that it’s pretty hard for me to understand western Slavic languages in written form. I know fluently only two languages: English and Russian, and when I see Roman letters in a word my brain reads them the English way. For example the letter “J”. In eng it’s pronounced like “j” in “jump” and in Slavic like “y” in “yes”, so it had messed with my brain for a while.

I'm bulgarian myself and was surprised Pavel didn't pick up on some of the words as they are used in our language but are more of an older form that isn't as widespread nowadays as in years past. That being said, I have studied russian for 7 years at school and most of those said words have russian roots, so I can somewhat excuse him for not picking up on all of them. Either way, a really interesting experiment and glad to say I understood 100% of what Michal was communicating to you guys. I am Slovakian and I undertand everything in Interslavic language :D In slovak is it : Je tam poľe, na poli je zelená tráva. V strede poľa je jazero, a na jazere pláva vták, a z vody z jazera skáče ryba. Na ľavo od jazera je strom ... nema listy , holy strom. Na strome je hniezdo, a v hniezde vajcia. Jedno vajce spadlo zo stromu.

@@arina_ascorbina Yeah, I understand what you mean. Помняшеть бо речь первых времен усобице (XII century, rewriten version probably based on 14-15th century grammar) Than this: Ныне, чрез сие письмо, припадая к стопам, во-первых, в том прощения со слезами покорнейше прошу, что если я когда-нибудь по неосторожности, с умысла, по глупости, молодости или злости чем-нибудь вас прогневала, благоволили бы, милостивый государь мой батюшка, теперь мне все оное отпустить и послать благословение дочери своей, в печали и разлуке оставшейся; что я величайшим счастием почитать буду. That's true! But I understood finally, why for me interslavic is like a mix of Old Church Slavonic/Old East Slavic and more modern Russian - because of grammar. In earlier centuries grammar was much more complicated, especially verb tenses, that's why it's hard to understand. So I had an impression of more modern language, while it's vocabulary indeed looks very old.
