It’s not Las Cruces unless you go through town or via I-25 and head to the infamous Organ Mountains. For years, going the town of Las Cruces was the only way to travel from East heading West to Az or Ca. It was called Route 80. Then they added the Interchange of I-25 to I-10. It’s only 50 years old and was recently improved. Over $40 million project.

Beautiful, I hope to live there within 5 years…Canada, isn’t good anymore. New Mexico or bust! Thank you! Las cruses is a place I’m considering, any other favourite places in NM? What can be better? Amazing Abby’s, UFO sightings…perfect weather. I can’t wait to meet all the people, especially my friend Chris and his family. ❤️

Los Cruces is a great choice. I live in Albuquerque right now and yes there are plenty of UFO’s around here.

4:34 I really like that classic American 18-wheeler on the right. Plus, it's a cabover. You know, cabover semi trucks are rare in North America since freeways were getting built at that time, well in Canada, the US, Mexico and all Central American nations, most semi trucks have long noses as you usually see on the roads. That is because the truck length restrictions were changed. Back in the 20th century, cabover semi trucks were common. This is just my guess in theory.

You might appreciate this: kzbin.info/www/bejne/inbEgnWuaq2qkJo. And yes, cabover tractors were common into the early 2000's. They were more common back east. OTR drivers prefer "conventional" trucks, because they ride a lot smoother.

@@InterstateKyle well, it is a pretty major thing in Las Cruces, and partly explains why it's such a large city...not quite, but almost a college town! How many other institutions of higher learning are located at the junction of two Intersates? 😅 P.S. New Mexico State is a land grant institution, and gave up lots of its land grant for both I-10 and I-25.

I 10 East goes through EL Paso TX....my hometown. After passing downtown EP I 10 East/West makes several gradual turns so by the time a driver gets to the west side of El Paso (near Sunland Park and Mesa) I 10 is going north from EL Paso TX to Las Cruces NM. The reason for this is when the interstate was built in the 1950's is if it had continued going directly west the highway would have crossed into Mexico. I 10 is an east west route but in west Texas it actually goes north and south for about 60 miles. It turns west again on the southern side of Las Cruces and crosses the Rio Grande River there. Loved the video.....

If you ever get around to Interstate 20, you need to do "Eastbound and Down" from Texarkana eastward 😊
@InterstateKyle2 жыл бұрын
I’m actually using that in a video down the line; but it’s on I-10. There’s only two videos of I-20 this season but they only in west texas.

Hated it for 8 long years. Desolate and pretty much uncivilized with little to do. Not even an after-hour emergency veterinary, no bowling alley and mostly overpopulated by Walmart. Everything is worn down and very little colors other than brown. At times reached 3-digit temps in March.

Not only doesn't the scenery change much from here to the Texas state line, it pretty much stays the same at least as far as Van Horn. Going up into the Organs and White Sands is a much better continuation even if it isn't actual interstate.
