I'm a huge Jacob Anderson/Raleigh Richie fan but even if I wasn't, that "You and me" to Claudia or when he said to Daniel "I want this...to remember" ugh, it would've made me pick him as favourite actor. I think Sam and Assad were brilliant but Jacob just blew me away. I also have to agree that this ensemble cast was on another level. There will always be haters but now that it's going to be on Netflix the audience will def grow.

i think lestat's flamboyance does factor in, if he was as still as armand or as tense as louis he wouldn't stand out to people as much. they're all brilliant actors but the "silent acting" is taken for granted all the time.

Netflix is picking up season 3??? Omg that's such great news! Because the next book, even if done in multiple seasons, is gonna need a BIG budget!

​@@iwillcryI disagree. All of the flamboyance came from a different perspective. Louis regards him as larger-than-life. While Arnand regards him as almost an idol-like figure. While Lestat is an extrovert in many respects, he is also a profoundly deep and lonely individual. The final encounter between Lestat and Louis depicts the real Lestat. Fans of the show don't seem to understand this is all a facade, he isn't really any of the things he wants people to believe he is. So he created a character and built up walls for protection. He is someone who wears his heart on his sleeve. Sam wasn't being flamboyant in that moment during their reunion, but he still stole the scene.

Jacob has been my favorite actor since season 1. Didn't know anything about him until I watched the series. I find him mesmerizing. Now I can't imagine the show without him.

Season 3 could potentially be so freaking good -- the best book in all the Anne Rice Vampire Chronicles is the next book, The Vampire Lestat. Lestat story is INCREDIBLE. You guys are so smart to realize that Lestat is the real center of these stories -- if you love him now...oh gosh...just wait!

Cannot overstate how pumped I am that season 3 is actually tackling the best book, The Vampire Lestat. We've seen an "Interview" movie before and an attempt at the 3rd book "Queen of the Damned" but nobody has ever truly attempted a film version of Rice's magnum opus, The Vampire Lestat. It's such a huge story beginning in the mid 1700's -- lots of time passes in many countries... It's gonna be a ride!

Armand's story in the books has a tragic nature to it...even though often he is the antagonist. But once you know his entire story, it's hard not to feel for him, too. Not in every situation, mind -- but in the big picture, his story is sad too. Despite the miracles of eternal youth, life, strength, beauty, etc., with which vampires are gifted within this universe, much like other forms of power, vampirism usually causes feelings of isolation and loneliness. It's hard enough to find a true companion for one lifetime...imagine trying to find someone who would be compatible FOREVER. And oftentimes, even when they do find a mate for eternity, over decades...well...stuff happens and even vampires can lose loved ones in a variety of different ways. I'll say no more.

One interesting thing about Armand, he is the only vampire who makes a point of assuring his victims feel nothing but ecstasy during their deaths. For whatever that's worth.

Anne Rice and Sam Reid confirmed that Lestat did not kill Paul. Remember when Louis asked him that in series 1, he was definitely genuine.

As a book lover i cannot fault the series. Yes, they changed a lot but they kept the core of the characters and the story. Honestly, i think they're doing an amazing job of weaving all these books together. And Sam Reid is a better Lestat than i could ever have imagined. I adore him.

Aaliyah as Akasha was such perfection (even though the film sucks.) It'll be difficult to fill her shoes.

Leatat did not kill Paul. Anne Rice herself wrote an entire post about it since fans had suggested it for years. Some folks are constantly looking for ways to blame Lestat for whatever reason.

The entire show cast crew was the best of 2024, so sad they didn’t get any love from the Emmy’s

The series consists of 15 books, with Lestat serving as the lead protagonist in the majority of the subsequent installments. Louis was only the lead in the first book, and now that we know they're adapting the second novel, it'll be nice for Lestat to get the screentime he deserves. They are modifying certain things, so Louis will remain a significant character moving forward, and won't be going anywhere. In the books, he is primarily a background character. It makes sense since this adaptation is really exploring their romance over the years. And of course, we love Jacob Anderson. My favourite character is Lestat. Closely followed by Marius. We've yet to meet him, but we will in season 3.

Marius is my 2nd favorite, too! And hearing Marius's story is great because it gives a totally different perspective on Armand. Hoping so much that they include Marius in future seasons! Also ,despite absolutely loving Louis in this particular adaptation of Interview, I hope they don't detract from Lestat's story too much for Louis sake (that goes double for Claudia). In any case, SO excited to FINALLY see The Vampire Lestat adapted for screen! It's always been painful when films of the other books were made and the BEST book of all was never attempted. They need to go all out on this project -- big...Game of Thrones level BIG! 😍

Favourite actor and character: Sam Reid as Lestat, he brings besides his beautiful self an understanding of his character. The source material is also so rich and lucious, an actor of this calibre can sink his teeth (hey!) into it and make it sing. Captivating, commanding and fun, just fun to watch.
