Love the wonder woman shirt. But pumpkin pie is a no for me, in all shapes and forms. I think I will make that corn and add it to Thanksgiving dinner. My mom is the hands on best mashed potato maker ever. I don't know why I cannot make them like hers. I do love it, it's 8.5 quarts and I rarely need that large a crockpot but I always pull it out when I want to sear something before crockpoting it. And I also use it like an electric skillet - especially to fry hamburgers - it's deep so no grease splatters!

I made crustless pumpkin pie and sweetened it with Splenda before all the new alternative sweeteners came out for those in the family who had diabetes. More of a custard, but, that’s what you fill the crust with. They get to enjoy the sweet treat along with the rest of us. Delicious.

Hello I’m so glad that I was searching through the Internet and ran across your video. I really loved it the one with you and your husband trying to meal together and the pumpkin pie in a crockpot who would’ve thought I am going to try that recipe with sweet potatoes and also I think I’m going to try the crust that you made, and put it in the bottom of the crockpot and pour the sweet potato pie mixture over the top and put some of those piecrust on the top and put it in the oven since that’s a crockpot it can take the heat and the top of the crust get brown. What an idea you giving me thanks so much and that sausage stuffing with the green beans that look excellent, I love easy cooking. Thanks for sharing.😊

Hope you both have a well thanksgiving. I love using broth instead of water for all my veggie dishes for extra flavoring, it seems it also makes things a lot moistened too. I was always told to avoid opening a crock pot while cooking because it takes time to build the temp back up again everytime you open it and things may cook unevenly. So this is interesting.

The reason your pie crust pieces were not as good is because you used egg wash instead of butter. Leave the dough uncut and spread softened butter all over it - and don't be shy. :) Then mix up a sugar/cinnamon mixture (like you would for toast) and sprinkle that on liberally. Now you can cut them and bake them. You'll LOVE them! Thanks for the idea of making mashed potatoes in the crock pot. I'll be trying that this Thanksgiving.

The ninja isnt a crockpot. It is a for real slow cooker. A crockpot heats up all.around the crock. A slow cooker only heats the bottom so it takes longer to cook something in a slow cooker.
