I'll be 75 in a couple of weeks and have been an artist for almost all my life, and I'm more than happy to say I find Michele absolutely fascinating! Not only does she have extensive artistic knowledge, but importantly the ability to impart it to other people in an understandable way. Beginner or advanced, this is without doubt the lady to watch!

The curved line at the edge of the cup and curving the road into the horizon were very helpful but really all the tips were great.

I watched this and a few other of your other drawing vids last night and today I tried to draw my house. I was struggling mightily until I realized i was drawing the tops of elements i couldn't actually see the tops of. I didn't even realize that was what I was doing until you popped into my head! I corrected the angles and it was like a miracle! There was my house! Recognizable, right there on the page! From my own hand! So, thank you so much!!!

So logical and ovbious once you point it out, and with a degree of humour (humor??), too! The one that helped me out the best was the trick for getting proportions right on a vase or bottle, or similar. Sooo useful. I will always do this, in future. Thank you, Michele (Karen??) 😂😂

Brilliant as always. I loved the tip of alignment using a piece of card. I can think of many uses for this. You really helped me with the vase alignment. I had never learned that paper measuring method….Before, it was alway hit and miss…..mostly miss. Also I appreciated the lettering guideline centering and perspective. Lastly, I’ve learned that people do have a bigger heads than we give them credit for……..HaHaHa…….A bunch of “fat heads”. Really, thank you.

Thank you for the suggestion, Michele. You’ve been so helpful to me. I will check out your Facebook group and ask to join. As for sharing some of my work; I’m unsure. I’m a novice and only do it for my own amusement. There may be a few things worth sharing. I’ve been delving into it all, except acrylic or oil. Acrylic is not out of the question as being incorporated into some picture. I have gouache and pastels that I have really not investigated yet, (except for white “watercolor”). Mostly I do it because it kind of keeps me in a Zen place during all this Covid isolation. It’s meditative for me.

Usually I make the space between letters about 1/6 or 1/7th of the height of a full letter/capital and the space between words more like half a capital letter’s height. Obviously you can vary this depending on the style used just like you can vary the width of the letters. Making the M and W wider is usually fairly universal though.
