After watching it a few times I legit can't find any issues with it, the closest thing is the side characters, Peni, Noir and Ham don't get a ton of screen time or development but they weren't really the focus. It's just full of detail and purpose, it was beautiful and told a great story.
@leeb511211 ай бұрын
my only issue is not being able to see more of miles' world and his side characters like ganke in particular, bc his relationship to them is one of the things that really makes him really unique and distinct imo, but from the trailers for ATSV seem like they're gonna remedy that at least a little. once the whole spider-verse business is over im really hoping for a miles solo outing of some sort so we can really dive headfirst into that.

For the people who say Miles isn't Spider-Man and only Peter is the real one, a little fun fact for you- When Stan Lee along with Steve Ditko were making Spider-Man they deliberately made his costume cover his full body because it doesn't matter who's under the mask and what's their origin, what matters is their will to protect the people and take responsibility. We have all dreamt of being Spider-Man. So yes, Miles is Spider-Man.
@CapitandodleR11 ай бұрын
I really like Miles as Spider-Man, but this fact has been very misinterpreted online, Stan Lee and Ditko didn't had that into consideration while making the design of their character, Jack Kirby even made a design with the chin exposed before Ditko came into play. Lee was happy that people managed to view themselves as the main hero, and recognized the fact the design didn't show who was the person inside of it as a very happy accident, one I'm sure a lot of people appreciate.

A silent voice (I don't care if it's an anime movie it's still an amazing manga adaptation) 6. netflix daredevil TV show 7. Season one and two of the flash TV show 8. This entire movie's point was showing it doesn't matter who's in the suit and behind the mask, it's the courage and unwillingness to quit that makes you spiderman, and the powers (or assorted hyper expensive tech) too but that's besides the point XD

I watched Across the Spider-Verse yesterday and I'm happy to say that this movie takes the original (which I and many others consider as the best animated movie of all time) and slam dunks it. It really just sits you down and says "you thought Into The Spider-Verse looked good then you haven't seen nothin' yet". This movie will make you feel emotions you didn't know exist and have you balling at the end (for all the wrong reasons). I'd love to talk about the movie more but I know most people haven't seen it cause it releases June 2nd for most people. (For those wondering it came out May 31st here in the Czech Republic)

@jayceallen653011 ай бұрын

I actually think the Aunt May Batcave thing works really well for the story. The dead Peter was this perfect, amazing, ultimate spider-man. He had everything, he was a personification of a perfect spider-man. And then he dies. The cave, among other things, helps contrast this almost perfect spider-man with all of his gadgets and stuff, to Peter B, who just calls the little stick need to shut down the collider a “goober.” This isn’t to say Peter B isn’t smart, but rather he isn’t as perfect, and honestly, that’s better. Peter B is a more interesting character. He’s a personification of where marvel editorial don’t want to take Spidey, instead wanting to keep him like 1610 Peter forever. But this movie shows that letting Peter be imperfect and grow up is good. Sorry for the long block of text, I just love this movie
