I know two American bullies and a Rottweiler that are just the funniest and sweetest creatures around children. They were thought well. Yet, I did see the loveliest of dogs change into aggressive and unreliable animals during years of marital problems (the yelling and stress). If you can't take care of your pets anymore, don't keep them! There is no shame in getting help for them.
