We welcomes our newest member of the family, Shadow! Rhett got a dog for his birthday and he already feels like a part of our hearts. I also planted some irises and give an update on my dad's cancer.

I have bearded Irisis....purple they are tough as nails, near impossible to kill. I reckon i had some sitting in a bag in our shed for agaes and decided to plant them they did so well and they multiply like crazy. You can snap the bulbs in half and they will grow. Great news about your dad 😊 Welcome home Shadow ❤

@@thecarolinafarmhouse they will bloom late spring early summer maybe into autumn (fall) if you're lucky. Very drought tolerant and can be divided in the cooler months. Eventually you'll be able to line the fence of your garden with them for pollinators and it will look so pretty 😍

Well that was an emotional video. Tears and laughs. So happy your dad is doing well and kids and puppies are just so precious. I'd say run the truck in the shade. That's a lot of work hauling those plants in and out all the time. I started my tomatoes from seed this year also and they look great. My garden is a bit muddy yet to plant anything. I was hoping to at least get my sweet corn in this week.

My two year old daughter was having a snack at the table while we watched this and as soon as she saw the puppies climbing on him she threw her fork down and got so excited, started pointing at the TV 😂❤ so sweet!

Courtney, praise God for this good news about your dad. Rejoicing in tears with you today! God is so good. We lost my cousin two years ago to cancer. My joy for others' recoveries is so much deeper now because of our loss. (Also, we will see my cousin again one day ❤️)

Do you know what mix of breeds shadow is? I once had a litter from my bitch and she was a Bernese X Golden Retriever and the dad was a black German Shepherd. The puppys all found a loving home on a farm and your puppy sure found a loving home too! 😘
