Not the harvest I was hoping for.

This week I harvest our onions and they are tinyyyyy. But that's okay. I also made tons of weeding progress in the garden and we got 3 loads of woodchips delivered!

What a treat to have something from your grandmother!!! Your garden looks wonderful!! Weeding is never ending sort of like laundry and dishes! Can’t wait to see how great the mulch looks in your gardens etc. God bless you and your family. I hope your dad is doing fine these days.

We have not had a drop of rain in many weeks. My garden is looking tough in some spots. Watering is not like a good soaking rain. Your garden is looking great. I love how you cherish the canner from your grandmother and how much you love her.

We started pressure canning last year and I was intimidated at first, now it’s easy! We had to build cages over our blueberries, raspberries, and strawberries. The birds were having an all you can eat buffet! Now we are getting loads! It’s so fun! We’re overhauling our garden this winter for better placement of everything next spring.

My lone survivor tomato plant died after transplanting 😢 , so I’m glad about your harvest regardless of the size of the individual bulbs 😊🎉. 💚

Since you’ve never pressure canned before may I suggest investing in a newer pressure canner? That’s has a pressure gauge? Then once you’re familiar with pressure canning you can start using your grandma’s canner? I have a newer presto and an all American but I would be so intimated by an older one with no gauge (unless it has one and I just missed it in the video) Yes! Transplant that echinacea to the garden! So pretty ❤

You are a busy lady and you seem very happy. I just remembered getchipdrop is free wood chips in most areas, although I doubt you'll need anymore anytime soon lol I watch 2 different ladies who are really knowledgeable gardeners, one is Fy Nyth in Wyoming, and the other is Simple Living Alaska, even though you're climate is different from theirs they are worth the listen and they have great channels anyway. Congrats on your harvest, btw I can't believe you're already getting a harvest it seems like only yesterday.

That is just so cool! I just bought my first pressure canner this year and I have been a bit intimidated to try it out myself. Outside for the first few times till I figure it all out sounds like a great idea.

I got my grandma’s pressure cooker and used it many years before it stopped working, I’m older the you by probably twenty years 😊so the pressure canner was a screw the top down with clamps that were attached and it had a gauge on top you had to watch closely so it wouldn’t go past 10 pounds pressure , no safety jiggler.
