"Australia! I love Australia. Wildlife and fauna... designed by a lunatic"

Always enjoyed the way Stirling just paced with the introduction to the Commando subtly aggressive never raising his voice beyond making a point

Calling Blair Mayne Irish was enough for him to bash the shit out of you…. He was from Northern Ireland and to say it nicely he “identified as British” *edit* I live yards from his house and previously working for the NHS I met people that knew him and one that actually grew up with him.... The Mad Mayne
@PatrickAherne-e8eАй бұрын
that's interesting. That's nothing wrong with being Irish though, especially during those times when the British needed us.

"Wildlife and fauna designed by a lunatic". Sounds like an impressive and educated insult. It is the opposite. Wildlife and fauna are the same thing. Wildlife and flora was the intended meaning, but hey-ho, since when did factual accuracy in script become important

I think it’s factually accurate that an arrogant army officer wouldn’t understand the difference

Fauna is a subset of wildlife, as is flora, but hey ho

The most unbelievable thing is that the Australian would be annoyed instead of immediately starting to brag about how crazy our wildlife is.

The fact that the actor portraying Paddy is not tall enough or solid enough makes him all the more impressive in the series.. much like the Wolverine he resembles.

Ha! Paddy has a boyfriend who got killed!! That's the ''manly'' part of this series. They bicker like girls, and what happens when Paddy's boyfriend dies? He goes nuts trying to find his corpse in the desert, he drinks himself blind, isolates reading poetry and then he starts a fight with the French Commandos he's supposed to be training!!🤣🙄🤮

@@blackbird5634paddy doesn’t have a boyfriend you knobhead. He literally states that Eoin McGonigal is his FRIEND from the Royal Ulster Rifles regiment, and they share a very brotherly type of bond. You would not be typing that horrible statement if it weren’t for his and Eoin’s sacrifices during WWII. Show some god damn respect, ffs.

This was good until the tank scene in one of the last episodes - just took me out of it sadly as completely the wrong thing
@EC233313 ай бұрын
There was a tank in the last episode?
@EC233313 ай бұрын
Nvm, just watched the last episode and saw the tank scene, it honestly reminded me of the older classic WW2 movies that used more modern tanks to depict WW2 tanks. In this case, they used some sort of M60 to depict a Panzer III or IV tank.
@tobytaylor21543 ай бұрын
That scene was the only one I was disappointed with, not for the tank but how they recreated Stirlings capture compared to reality.
