I’m not a Naruto Stan but this situation/relationship between the coach and Shoyo reminds me of Obito and Naruto. Obito was extremely similar to Naruto but doubted himself/failed and challenged Naruto’s willpower throughout the whole frikin War Arc. I see here, the coach, doing the same thing. Challenging Shoyo to see if Shoyo will prove his doubts wrong.

That's actually a really great point y'all made about Nishinoya not being chosen for the Youth Camp. He is admittedly immature for his age but (if y'all remember) he's been in trouble at school as well. During season 1 when he is first introduced Daichi explains that he has been out for a week or so because he was suspended. His past history with conflict at school probably played into why he was not scouted.

The main reason they reanimated the first scene is because from the end of season 3 to the start of season 4 was like a 3 year gap so it was to help remind people of what was happening

They reanimated that scene because Season 4 changed the style of character designs to match de current style of the manga. Not only it was a good oportunity to restart the anime since there were a good time gap between Season 3 and 4 but also to show what they changed in the art and style so we can get used to it before the new scenes and animation.
