i love how nolan in season 1 could delude himself into ignoring the love and empathy that he’d developed becuase he could just tell himself it was all for the mission, but now that he’s abandoned his mission he’s being forced to confront those emotions and it’s confusing because to him they’re irrational, i love characters who struggle as they gain empathy because it’s like an analysis of feelings that we don’t even fully understand ourselves

Andressa and Debbie are kinda similar in the sense that their lifetime is a fraction of Omniman's. I guess the way we view Andressa's lifetime of less than a year as incredibly short, humans lifetimes are incredibly short to Viltramites. Either way, I was SHOCKED that Nolan had a bug wife and kid!

nolan choking mark wasn't meant as an attack on him. nolan and the rest of the viltrimites suppress their empathy for most of their lives. when nolan is faced with emotions like grief (something he's never cared to feel for) he doesn't know what to do and doesn't know how to react

Issue 141, page 22 in the qna section (Yes I looked it up, took me about 5 minutes to find it) a fan ask if Viltrumite comes from the philtrum, Kirkman responds: "Like with most things, the truth is disappointing. The name is partially inspired by deodorant ingredients, or one of those big, long, crazy ingredient names from somewhere... I believe. It's been fifteen years, my recollection is a bit hazy. The philtrum is NOT a weak spot on a Viltrumite!" So yeah, don't spread misinformation!! haha
