You have a picture of a transistor while explaining a diode..

Look up Bipolar Junction Transistor or BJTs. That's a spot on example of how a transistor is made essentially from diodes smashed together. Even the MOSFET in the video technically has NPN or NP and PN junctions in them, which are diodes. So, I would dig a bit deeper into device physics if you would like to learn more about how diodes essentially make transistors. I hope that helps :)
