The Big 12 Insiders is a streaming show hosted by former Kansas State football player Brien "Big B" Hanley. It covers everything related to and affecting the new 16-school Big 12 Conference. In today's edition, former Big 12 offensive lineman Brien Hanley is joined by 247Sports publishers Alec Busse (Iowa State) and Mike Casazza (WVU) to discuss Saturday's game in Morgantown. Each Wednesday, the Insiders focus on the most prominent Big 12 games of the week.

Should be a good game. CBS Sports has Rocco Becht ranked this week just outside their Top 10 in QBs, will be a big day for him with his father Anthony being honored in the WVU Hall Of Fame on Saturday. Morgantown will be rocking.

I know from being a WVU fan for over 50 years, WVU would not be ranked if they were 5-0 because they would bring up the schedule and say WVU only played one ranked team. Pitt was not ranked at the time WVU played them. WVU has to always be undefeated all the way to the middle of the season before even getting a vote. This is normal and us real WVU fans don't care about rankings because we know they don't really mean anything. Where WVU is sitting in the conference is what really matters. Right now WVU is undefeated in the Big 12. They just need to continue playing hard and improving from week to week. Everything else will fall into place. Lets Go Mountaineer!!

Honestly, ratings mean something to me. Better TV recognition, better recruits interested, just a better feeling and certainly better bowl game. Maybe I am greedy but I remember when WVU was in the top 20(only 20, not 25), even the top 10. It was a yearly thing. This game with ISU is considered by some analysts as a WVU win....I hope they are right.

The 3 games I would like to point out that are under the radar this week is of course the ISU(5-0) at West Virginia (3-2) The Louisville(3-2) at Virgina(4-1) and Washinton(4-1) at Iowa(3-2). The winners of these 3 games could change the talking points of the the Big 10, ACC, and Big 12.

The SEC, The Big 10 and the ACC are predictable as far as knowing which teams will most likely win their conference championship because it is like a broken record playing the same song over and over. The Big 12 is not that way which makes it more entertaining because you never know from year to year which team is going to win the Big 12 championship game.

West Virginia’s 3 wins come from Kansas (1-5), OSU (3-3) whose only considerable win was over Arkansas, and UAlbany…it’s 3 w’s but a soft 3 w’s
