ISU O line not good? UNI's D Line in the best they've had since Farley got there...ISU has potentially three O line guys that will be playing next year on Sunday...UNI would probably beat Utah State 9 out of 10 games. Theo Day is better than that Michigan reject....

@TheANFPodcast Iowa's D line played well, limiting ISU'S ground game to slightly below 3 yds a carry. Take away the one long Patterson run with the missed holding call, and ISU held Iowa's run game in check at only 53 yards on 28 carries or 1.8 yards a play. Spotted you the pick six was the essentially the difference, but stuff happens with a team as young as ISU....

ISU has very good D. Questions on offense, but ISU's got good RBs in Norton and Sama, good TEs, QB Becht looks decent, and 'clones look to be improved on special teams. I look for ISU to win.

And that’s the thing: I would rather see more picks from our QB making riskier throws on the sheer belief that the WR is going to make the catch and that he can make the throw,than a 100 mph bullet thrown into the dirt. Every player is there to play regardless of whether they’re a 1 star or 5 star, so give them the opportunity to make one. That throw and catch by Luke is a perfect example of what I’ve been waiting for. Or from Cade to Niko. Before if they would’ve missed their catches like they did earlier in the game, we would’ve completely abandoned the pass game. Now it’s like go out there and redeem yourself with a spectacular catch/play. That’s all I can ask for, is belief in the players and not this sissified play not to lose mentality. Let’s win us a B1G Ten championship!!!

UNI is ranked #23, with the best DL in years and an NFL prospect at QB....not so bad buddy. Oh, and UNI would beat Utah St. 9 out of 10 times if they played each other.....

I think we win 27-10. Our team needs that preparation and they've got plenty of tape and experience with ISU that they should be better prepared to attack them. I expect our run game to do better this week too, but who the heck knows. I need to see a few more games before I feel better about the offense.

Final Score Prediction: Iowa 27 Iowa State 13 Iowa needs a solid offensive performance and while this may not be perfect this should hopefully be a step in the right direction as Cade gets closer to 100% health. Go Hawks!

I didn’t even say how Iowa scores the 27 there could be a defensive touchdown there idk. Iowa scored 27 on ISU in 2021 even though they weren’t good offensively in that game so I think they may do it again.

As usual per the last few times these two have played it's going to come down to who makes the most mistakes. ISU had a lot of penalties on Saturday and is starting a less experienced QB. I see another low scoring snooze fest but I'm taking ISU who is really playing with house money - no one has any expectations for this team this year (at this point) so they have nothing to lose and will play like it. ISU 17-14 FWIW The DeJean penalty was on 1st and 10 last year not 2nd and 10.

Good catch on the DeJean penalty. I lost my freaking mind in the stands after that one. Also, agreed on ISU - they have the chip on their shoulder similar to Iowa in 2021, which is so valuable for this series.

I wish Iowa would quit putting Cade under center and just run every play - run or pass - out of the shotgun. Iowa’s formations are too predictable in the run game and defenses just tee off on the running back way too often. Better to show pass with a running back in the backfield and make the defenses guess. I have lost faith in Iowa’s zone blocking scheme in the power running game. They are too inconsistent. Anybody who watches film for ten minutes is practically in the Iowa huddle.
