I expected there to be a lot more mechanical fasteners (clips, screws etc.) This thing has gooey adhesive everywhere. You almost have to tear the whole thing apart just to get to the part you have to replace. I hope my kids' iPads just need a battery someday.

could you help me giving me advice one year ago when i fell my ipad by accident on the frame (out side cover (near the speaker ) the screen had broke also but every things was working normally( touching , voice , camera, touch id ) now i notice the touch not good when i take it to some company for repairing , the camera , and the voice is so bad , touch id not work

Using old battery from stock is cheaper. This is apple. Still battery life is good enough. And in the future the third party compatible batteries will be cheap and available.
