Quick and easy, got it on my second try without a microscope and it worked like a charm.

I don’t see a dot, but I suspect it was never there in the first place as I can get the button to click anyway. I’m about to reassemble the iPad 6 so I cannot actually test if it works - should I proceed or get an actuator dot?

In this video the Actuator actually still there (golden color), not lost, don't know why he do like that, that will make double actuator, and I wonder it will work properly or not ??? This video just for people never open an iPad (this is iPad 6)

Where can I purchase them? I tried removing one from a button I purchased off Amazon, but it wasn't the same.

My home button is misplaced
@GarrettFrazier-mj8je4 ай бұрын
Never had a warranty my ASS! the USED capton tape looses factory seal once removed. Replacing the capton tape will make the home button eventually not "click" cause the nipple (on the capton tape) has slid off where it is supposed to be. We replace the actuator, because we have the experience and evidence of how a "quick fix" is just that.

I followed the video, the iPad mini 4 button now clicks, but doesn’t recognize that I’ve pressed it. Did I miss a step?

@amy_k11433 жыл бұрын
@@michael6ringsjordan892 I actually took it from another iPad that I replaced the glass screen on.

@@amy_k1143 Oh I see. Replacing my screen as well. I just bought some Actuators at InjuredGadgets. Hopefully they work, paid $2 for 10 but shipping was $6. Last thing I want to do I buy a new iPad because of a cracked screen.
@amy_k11433 жыл бұрын
@@michael6ringsjordan892 the screen I took off had a crack down one whole side, it actually stayed intact when I removed it! I was surprised it didn’t break more. Came off in one piece. I used a heat gun and took my time.
@michael6ringsjordan8923 жыл бұрын
@@amy_k1143 You have better luck than me. My screen was shattered everywhere so I had to pry all the little glass pieces up. Worst case scenario is that I’ll use the screen replacements home button and lose the Touch ID which isn’t really a big deal because it’s a family iPad with no password on it to begin with but I’m not going to give up on it that easily.

This is dissapointing I was hoping to see you solder on a new actuator
