I started with the 12 pro max because I thought the camera would be noticeably better. However, I just felt it was too big for me and felt like I was carrying around a tablet. The immersive screen is great for videos but for general usage like texts, web browsing, notes etc.. I felt it was just too much. I then got the 12 pro and held on to the max to make my own comparisons before returning one. I personally find the pro a lot more comfortable. I’m a camera enthusiast and have been selling all my mirrorless gear for the convenience of a phone and the differences between the pro and pro max were apparent upon close inspection but not enough to keep me having the max. As for battery life, I’m not sure how much usage the guy in the video is having in a day but my 12 pro has yet to run out of battery in a day’s use 🤔 I’m super happy with the 12 pro and I returned the max yesterday. It really does come down to personal preference.

Last year I got the silver 11 Pro Max and my gf got the space grey and I had a case on the silver and it still got scratched easily. I’m extremely anal about scratches so I notice them in a heartbeat and I do everything possible to make sure I don’t get them. Silver is known to just scratch so much more easier because it is bare stainless steel where as the other colors have a coating.

Just went from 8 plus to 12 pro. I don’t notice the height difference just the width of the screen. Especially watching videos in landscape. However it’s way more comfortably to hold, and fits my hand like a glove. Not 100% sure how I feel but I’m enjoying the upgrade

I do laugh at the other reviewers with their click bait videos saying the 12 pro max not worth it over the pro etc. You purchase the pro max for it’s bigger better immersive screen and better battery life, it’s a no brainer it’s the better phone. BTW in tests i have seen the pro max give better detail in low light shots and better stabilisation in videos. Then there’s the 12 vs 12 pro nonsense. I wouldn’t have a 12 over the 12 pro. The extra ram alone is a huge reason why. I got fed up of my 11 pro max having to reload apps with it’s 4gb of ram. My 12 pro max rarely ever does it with it’s 6gb of ram. It just makes the user experience so much better.

I consistently get better low light and nightmode photos on the max. I chose the max because it’s the better overall phone.

It is basically the same thing. The promax has more zoom but the pro has a faster aperture on the telephoto lens. Bigger sensor does nothing and neither does the sensor shifting. The pro is arguably better because of the faster aperture zoom. Aperture is better than zoom.

There is no coating on the white/silver that's why you get microscratches in days... toughest is the gold, pacific blue and graphite are in the middle.

Now I use the 12 Pro Max in Pacific blue without case….. micro scratches on the edges are present but only very few, no scratches on the back, lens or display - except those two big ones I got on the beach 🏖.

I could get around 10-11 if I let my phone drain down to 0 but I don’t, I charge my phone when it gets to 20%. But all in all it’s a great phone and I highly recommend it!

The iPhone 12 Pro Max is very similar in size to the 7 Plus and 8 Plus, just two millimetres larger than them, so it actually isn't that huge for ppl used to the plus size.

anybody saying there isn't any noticable difference are literally catering to the regular and average user that doesn't need "pro" level results out of their smartphone camera. You can find countless test results all over the internet now that show clear differences in the quality of the cameras and it's no contest the Pro Max has more accurate color reproduction, is sharper all around, and takes less noisy photos at night.

I've been using the 12 pro max since release day (upgraded from the 11 pro max). The biggest difference going from the 11 to 12 is the camera. I was surprised to find it a noticeable difference (but I also take a lot of photos and do a lot of editing on my device). The device itself is fantastic to use because of the screen space. My phone is a productivity and entertainment device - I use a lot of productivity apps, play a lot of games, and watch a lot of videos. For me, the larger display is a no brainer. BUT it definitely makes the device harder to use. I definitely recommend using a wrist lanyard or pop socket (I am using both with a Catalyst Influence case). It's the only way I can confidently hold on to the phone. I do put the phone in my pockets but often have a sling bag or something else that is better for carrying a larger device.

I had the 11 Pro Max with Apple leather case. I now have the 12 Pro Max with the Apple leather case. The size is not a deal-killer for me, but... It feels a lot heavier. It is less comfortable to hold. Not a huge difference but noticeable. The slightly larger screen is not detectable to me. I bought it in large part because of the camera and because the Pro Max camera was better (according to the specs). All the reviews (like this one) say the difference is meh. I can’t comment on camera differences. I think next year I’m going to seriously consider the regular size Pro. It’s display got bigger this year and I think could be fine for my purposes while being smaller in the hand and pocket. My only reservation will be battery life.

I am not a heavy user by any means. I rarely use my phone during the workday, and have the majority of my phone usage in the evening. The battery life of my 12 Pro is hands down superior to my previous First Gen SE. I absolutely love it. Also, when ordering my phone through AT&T, the graphite model was able to be shipped out to me a month earlier than the blue. I am love the graphite phone, especially since my case is clear on the back to see the graphite and it is blue on the sides. I think it is great to have the contrasting, yet complementary, colors for my phone. I've had the phone for a couple weeks and absolutely love it!

I still would go to the iPhone 12 Pro. I don’t want to carry a mini tablet. Battery life no issues as we always charge our phones everyday. For larger displays, well I would prefer watching movies & video content on my M1 MacBook Air. At the end of the day, I still prefer a phone that’s portable & pocketable. So I go hands down with iPhone 12 Pro.

i bought the MAX because the regular Pro was just too small. I had an 8+ and the 12pro Max is almost exactly The size of that one. im glad i got the 12pro max! In Pacific Blue! (also the battery lasts a long time)

The Pro Max is really big... I held it in a Apple Store and it was really nice. The feeling on the 12 Pro models are very nice with that matte finish. The only thing I don't like is the stainless steel edges. It gains a lot of fingerprints...

I’ve been using the Pro Max since it came out. I’ve found it too big (and I came from the 11 Pro Max) and for my hands, I can’t reach across to the left with my right have and end up having to use it two hands all the time. I’ve now got a 12 Pro that I’m trying out, considering selling the Pro Max. My thinking is that when I’m watching things like a movie, I’ll use my iPad. For KZbin, I don’t think the difference is that much of a big deal. But yeah, the battery life may be the thing that keeps me on the Max. It is so far vastly different.

I just got the 12 pro max and I’m blown away that within the first week I notice I can go to bed at night with still more than 50% battery, and I get up during the week at around 6. I don’t go to bed till around 9-10. It charges faster too even with mag safe. My xs max would be dead by 5-6 pm , like below 20% and took it like 2 hours to fully charge . This thing has crazy battery life.
