Just like they have an ipad mini in under 500 price point, if they can rebadge iphone 13mini as SE4 with just A18 as the only major change in the sub 500 price point, it is going to sell like hot cakes. The reason it didn't sell earlier was because the price point was too high (700USD) for a phone that was marketed as a "mini" device. I believe sub 500 usd would be the perfect pricing especially in emerging markets like India, Indonesia where people are crazy about iphones. Its an aspirational thing over there.

The iPhone 8 Plus was the best phone apple ever made. I know it is purely wishful thinking but I really with that they made an SE based off of this chassis instead of whatever it is that they have been making recently. A home button, touch ID, a large enough screen, and an updated chip? I would never upgrade. Maybe that's why apple never made it? 🤔

My uncle has got an iPhone 15 that I was using yesterday and I must say that Dynamic Island is super-useful (as far as I understood in my use of 4-5 hours). Apple should've pushed the Dynamic Island in the SE 4 too, notch is fine though its just the usefulness of the dynamic island presents a case for itself over the notch. Either way, the SE 4 is looking solid and in case it achieves the price point that rumors are trumpeting then it'll be a great device for the midrange buyers.

An iPhone Xr/11 chassis with USB-C, the A18 processor and 8GB ram. 128GB storage for $499. Otherwise they’d risk cutting into iPhone 16 sales. I’d be surprised if they keep the iPhone 15 in the line up. The 15 Plus may survive after March because of its size but with the lower cost AI capable SE4 what would be the point of the 15?

in SE4 I want to see the switch silent and the size of 13 mini with less bezels. no cooktop camera please 😅 (newest samsung camera bump are good) could be a hole, dynamic island or a smaller notch to front camera. I bought my iPhone SE 2016 in November 2016, and traded it in for the iPhone 13 Mini in February 2023 (and I was still able to resell the SE 2016 for $100 😂). Now I'm still with my 13 Mini, commenting here, hoping the SE4 will be like I commented above.

My Pixel 7 has a home button. Has a back button. iPhones require swiping for everything and don't even give people the option. It would be so simple for iPhone to incorporate this as an option. Apple has a history of not giving it's users options.

I’m ngl I HIGHLY doubt Apple is gonna stuff the A18 in the SE4. The SE3 has the A15 from the 13 series because the phone looks old. But the SE4 will look like a higher end device with the iPhone 14 design, so for a lot of people the 16 is basically gonna be the middle child of the lineup. I can’t imagine many people are gonna spend the extra ~$300 on a slightly better display and a wide angle lens.

I got the SE 3 simply because it was the smallest phone Apple makes and could fit in my pockets. Didn't even know or remember they made a "mini" or maybe it didn't measure up at the time I bought the SE. Hopefully the SE 4 will be the same size. If it is I'll get it.

The “new” AirPods Max should be SE and much reduced in price. The Apple price ladder has some odd rungs to it. If the SE4 comes in under $500 I’ll be surprised. They have to nail the battery issue that has plagued all the SE lines be they phones or watches. You’d want the SE4 to have Qi2 wireless charging and at least 45W wired but I can’t see it. I can’t see anything happening till Sept 2025 but maybe I’m a grumpy old sod who believes Apple has burdened itself with the Vision nonsense leaving it with little time to finish other projects such as a new iPad mini, AirPods Pro max or iPhone SE.

I've lost all respect for Apple. Since the death of Steve Jobs it's evident the decadence and decay of the company that Tim Cook took the company in that direction...
