All my iPhones have been SEs. One of my main reasons for buying them was their size. I like a small phone that doesn’t weigh a ton and take up too much space in my pocket. I thought that was one of the main selling points of the SE.

I know that it doesn’t apply to a lot of you “normal people“, but I ride a motorcycle. Touch ID is actually necessary if you don’t want to have to deal with removing your helmet every time you use your phone, instead of just slipping off a glove. I like my Touch ID for low light use as well. I just got, an iPhone SE3 for my birthday, and I even bought a Christian Louboutin case for it. And us bikers don’t have our phones in our faces at stoplights, trying to text or post. So judge not, lest ye be judged.

I just ended up getting the iPhone 15 Pro yesterday because I couldn't keep waiting for the new iPhone SE! Also, T-Mobile is having an unusually ironic promotion for anyone who buys the old iPhone SE models right now. Is that just a coincidence for the new SE to come out soon? T-Mobile gave me such a great upgrade deal, and I was upgrading from the Motorola Razr fold from last year. The iPhone 15 Pro includes capabilities to use Apple Intelligence, and I just couldn't pass up the promotion and deal T-Mobile was offering. It was really hard for me to switch to Android. I've been an iPhone user my entire life, and it made a mess of things when trying to FaceTime and text people since all my friends and family have iPhones. So, I don't know if I pulled the trigger too fast on getting the iPhone 15 Pro instead of waiting a little bit longer for the new SE, but we will see!

The SE is about getting the entire household on iOS. From Grandma to the kids. I pass my old Pro Max models to my mom. I think the better display and larger size makes them easier for her to use. She's on my old 12 Pro Max now and I'll likely upgrade my phone this cycle. and pass my current one down to her, but if they make a nice SE, I may double up. This is what they are going after. We will see if they succeed.

I think I can speak for a ton of people when I say we miss the iPhone mini form factor. Honestly, the dream phone for me would be the size of the iPhone 5, but an all-screen front (even with a notch). As for the release date, if anyone doesn't have the patience to watch the whole video, the release date for the SE 4 is likely to be in 2025. Expect maybe March 2025 for the release date. They almost certainly won't release it at the same time as the new iPhones in the September event.

Happily rocking a 13 ProMax here with no intentions of jumping on a 16. Planning on letting the AI mature a bit in the 17 and hoping for a true super telephoto but the features and price of the proposed SE4 are very appealing. The iPhone SE is discounted model now , the plus version has replaced it. There is no market benefit for Apple to reintroduce a new SE . Besides it will not support apple intelligence, this makes it less optimistic that they would produce an old design . You need larger phone to support this A.I function , and if they make an SE version , it will basically be a plus version that competes With the iPhone plus version ,this will make it obsolete in Apple market pricing strategies and give redundancy to the 14 line models that cost people a lot to purchase .

The difference between a pro SE is just to big if you can’t afford it. 120fps ad the camera just blows it out of the water. I also think that won’t use the same chip as the 16’s.
