The XR is a brilliant phone. Incredible battery life. I charged it on Friday night to 100%, it’s now Monday night and only now does it need a charge, my phone has had light use though, but on average it last nearly 2 days. The camera is insane and I don’t notice the resolution difference between the XR and Xs

There is nothing wrong with the iPhone XR. If Apple didn’t show the resolution, people wouldn’t even care. People need to chill on that note, look at the screen first, before you bandwagon what a KZbinr says. It has a better battery life too, and it’s cheaper with the same internals. I don’t see a problem. As for the house tour, I wouldn’t personally let people see the layout of my house for privacy and security reasons.

Also, most people use cases so they don’t really care what the frame is made out of. I constantly keep cases on my phones so the frame being stainless steel or whatever isn’t an issue as it won’t see the light of day. Which is why I’m getting the white or black iPhone XR since they can go with pretty much any case. Also most of the stuff you didn’t like I never use anyway. I know some people like 3D Touch and portrait mode. But, I personally never use it accept for to scroll with the keyboard which you can still do on the Xr. Also, not only are the bezels bigger because of the backlight on the display they are also bigger because LCD screens don’t bend like OLED screens do. It look Apple a lot of work to get a full LCD display and I wish more people would appreciate how difficult that actually is for that reason alone.

@@JohnnyFilip that dual lens is not actually that useful if using for zoom , Normal lens can take great zoom in picture too and guess what that telephoto doesnt work in low light , so its not that useful anyway.. portrait mode u still can take on iPhone XR with better details since its use main lens , but sadly cant take portrait on non human subject. Either way the XR main lens is better than X with smart HDR , for me single lens is not big deal since i switched from S9 plus to S9 , i dont really miss that telephoto lens

Jeez! The screen is fine. My friend has the XS Max and I have XR and yes you can tell the difference but the screen is amazing. Colour accuracy is so good and the lower res doesn’t even matter. If you want to get the XR don’t worry at all about lower res screen, it makes like no difference

Man, the battery life is insane. I charged it into 100% and used it to edit video on iMovie for 1hour, but the battery was only decreased by 1% only. In my daily use, it has been unplugged from the charger for 12hours and still have 70% remains. I think I'm not gonna need fast charger then.

I don't know if you've heard of or tried the camera app called "Halide Camera" but they've added the ability to take portrait mode shots of different subjects other than just people using the iPhone Xr. I haven't tried it myself as I have the Xs. But I've heard really good things about the app and it seems like the developers are constantly updating it and adding new features.

I’ve been trying it on my xr. No where near as good as the xs. I just tried to recreate the Xbox one controller pic and it’s not even close. On an animal or something it’s a little better but still hit or miss. Disappointing because apple could probably make the software adjustment to allow it on the xr. The front camera on the xr is still the same as the xs and can do portraits on animals and other items. Overall am still happy with the phone. Screen looks great and battery life is amazing.

I love the iPhone XR, the LCD display is great since I don't like OLED much because it can have the chance of burn in and OLED bugs my eyes at low brightness. The amazing battery life is a plus and I'm glad it has basically all the same internals as the flagship iPhone's.

Not liking OLED is not a matter of being poor. I personally can afford the XS and will go to the XR. If Apple was late on the OLED tech it's because it has pretty big downsides. They had to wait for a color accurate panel, so this is not an issue anymore, but FurryWolfDog is right, burn-in can occur and it has a tendancy to flicker if you have sensitive eyes. This is an interesting piece of tech but the true perfect screen will be MicroLED with both no backlighting and no fragile organic diodes.

I "downgraded" from a XS to the XR (mainly because my 8 Plus spoiled me to great battery life). The battery in the XR is insanely good. Also, people just seem to conveniently forget the fact that the XR is cheaper than the 8 Plus was at launch. It is unarguably a better phone than the 8 Plus.

I have to say, I bought the XS Max, only because I wanted that resolution. I should have bought an XR, and if you’re deciding between the two, I’d recommend the XR. It’s almost exactly the same phone, and I definitely wasted my money. (It’s a better size, too. This is too big, coming from an old 8+ user.)

For a person who just needs a phone and for everyday use it’s amazing. I have it and I also come from the X and there’s nothing that changes the way you use the phone. It’s amazing and you barely notice the screen difference and it’s very hard to tell. It’s not really that bad, 3D Touch is not really of a necessity to have and you can easily get used to not having it.

TBH. even on my S8 when I play 4k vs 1080.. the difference is BARELY noticeable... I played with the XR and the XS and unless you got them side by side like that, you cant see a huge difference. yea apple could have offered it at a bit LOWER price because of this $650 would have been a fair starting price, but all and all its really not a bad display. I cant wait to buy mine

Here’s what I think: The Xr has a great front facing and back camera. I personally love the aluminum on the sides instead of stainless steel. Excellent battery. Fantastic volume. Full screen, I’m not bothered from the borders. Idc of the lcd and resolution. Comes in a great cost!! My final thoughts: I think that the Xr is a great simple, and comfortable phone. I recommend it for everyone.

I'm iPhone XR user and all what can I say is that this phone is hilarious! I charge it every second day (I haven't done it since Motorolla), the screen resolution is good enough to watch something and the quality of the taken photos is so good. Well, all what can I say is that this phone is a really good gadget.

I had the iphone 7, and I always forgot to charge it overnight. I’d wake up with a dead phone because i went to bed with it being at 10%. I got the XR and fast charging in the morning before class is SO useful. I love it.
