Its interesting again to have the opposite problem. Every time you have these huge floods, where I am in Melbourne we get basically no rain, in 2 months I think we have had less than 20mm. Glad you guys are safe and hope the La Nina break soon.

Glad to hear you’re doing well. Saw a report a few days ago about flooding in Queensland, and hoped you were high & dry. Queensland is a big state. We lived through a couple of big rains when we lived in Texas by the coast. About a year before we moved to the desert, it rained 34inches or 86 cm. In a 24 hour period. A strong steady downpour the whole time. Luckily we lived close enough to the estuary system that it all flowed away into the gulf. Houston, nearest city, got flooded. It was a stalled hurricane. Now, a good rain is about 1/2 a cm. Official (according to my neighbor) it’s a rain if you can count 10 water drops in a square foot. We had a 12cm snow fall the other day, filled one of my rain tanks capturing about 4000 liters. We’ve had a nice warming spell and fish happy and eating well. Harvested one nice big strawberry for my wife, I ate a couple small ones. The plants in the clay media beds look loaded with green berries, but the ones in the dwc trough are lagging. They need cleaning out though. Next on the to do list. Stay dry! Cheers 🍻

I think I'd prefer torrential ran to snow Joe. I'm too much of a lizard I think. 😄 That's very nice of you. I very rarely got any ripe ones, Kira used to flog them all just as they got their colour. Hope the clear out goes well for you mate. Cheers. 🍻

we used to live by a river when my kids were small. the town din't built house right by the river because it flooded every year. but there was a park with a play ground that my kids enjoyed. they totally freaked when they saw the water running through the swings and slides. important life lessons
