Great videos. And I'm glad to hear you talking of all the amazing things about Ipswich. I knew the Regent as The Goumont .. saw Herbie Rides Again as a kid. The prison, my mum was convicted there .. several sad memories as a kid. Ipswich Council has ruined Ipswich and surrounding estates like Chantry.

Thank you for your comment Jack. Yes I agree, that Ipswich has seen better days. Just like so many places around the country. I've had similar comments from other people about the places where they live. It's sad that our country is going to pot, as councils continue to make bad decisions. Despite that, I do like Ipswich's history and all that the town has to offer, Like yourself I wish it was different.

Hanged not hung. The Council doesn't own the building anymore. They were hanged on the roof the remains of the hanging post is still up there.

6:30 - surely that should be "county gaol", not "county goal" - "gaol" is older English spelling of "jail"
@AliceGoss Жыл бұрын
Yes it is. Gaol is jail. I used this word in the description.
