Love the video, wish iRacing would fix the tyre model, as thats the biggest thing holding back the sim imo. Love they got the LMP3 so well, and that says a lot about their dev team, hope we soon get a fix soon for the tyres. For context i cannot drive GT3 cars in the game anymore, because of the snowball effect.

Snowball effect has nothing to do with the tire model. It's entirely about the driver.

Would you share what wheelstrength and maxforce you are using and finding roughly correct on the lmp3? Hard to find any steeringforce numbers online

Nice insider and why don't you use VR and tactile feedback or a D-Box? I'm using GS-5, G-Belt and 7 shakers on a rig with passive suspension and not just on curbs it shakes quite a bit. Can't say how accurate it is, but feels and even sounds like I get a nice fraction of the real thing. The SimHub effects even on defaults seems quite well done. Actuators are a bit sluggish by design, but a big Buttkicker with it's 3,5 kg piston inside can literally kicking butt. For VR I'm using an 8KX and took me some time to set it up, but it seems the only headset providing triple-screen FOV and the visual quality is similar to 1080p on 27" I would guess. I took a longer VR-break for performance reasons, but seems the biggest VR-issues in the past got solved by sufficient CPU- und GPU-power these days erasing the system bottlenecks and a wind-sim helps a lot for comfort.

Crazy to hear that! Always liked iracing more than rfactor2, even if theyr tires feel less rubbery out of the box. So nice to read that i wasnt that wrong, always thought iracing feels really believable on the lmp cars.

@@colinjrblackman5333 Everything tbh, the car just felt so incredibly strange to drive. No downforce whatsoever. Was quite disappointed as I liked the LMP2 a lot.

@@patrickdurka6188 The Oreca LMP2 in rF2 is far superior than the Dallara LMP2 in iRacing according to several real world drivers (Ye Yifei, Guy Cosmo, ...). And many long time iRacers who drove the Oreca in the LFM multiclass races were simply blown away.

You definitely have to be careful on throttle but maybe not as much as on iRacing. On iRacing it has a lot to do with the bad tire physics that they snowball way too quickly into overheating tires as said in the video.

"Realistic" yet... without TC it isn't like the real deal, as its slower in iR; you can freely go over curbs in IR and in reality you can't at all; add to that the lack of flat-spots in iRacing, making the braking waaay different... so...
