Looks more like it was damage to the horizontal stabiliser, but otherwise nice job. How did you actually manage to get a Sparrow motor to not engage? And hit to damage specifically the left engine? That must’ve taken ages.

The unreliability of sparrow saved everyone here. Lol. The P-3 also would've been dead if it was a tomcat & phoenix.

Interesting video - any more info about the pilot? I know a lof of the Iranian pilots ended up dead - because of the regime in Iran (US trained pilots = could not be trusted). I have read a couple of books about Iranian pilots being trained in the USA and several US pilots had a high opinion about these Persian pilots.

there is a lot of information stating the opposite. ive repeated read the iranians were "pushed" through training if they failed or not to insure political ties.
