Great series so far 👏. Done Ireland in 3 separate mini tours and loved it too. But great to watch you're coverage as you miss so much when riding. Look forward to Wales. 👍

It was good to see you looking a souvenir shop , when you said that before heading to the causeway you were on part of the North west 200 Road Racing course. If you look backe on the road you can see the grid marks like white u shapes. You could have got souvenirs in portsteward or portrush . There is a mot in Northern Ireland from 4 yrs & every year after that.

Great video mate, done the Antrim Coastal Route with my son June 2023. We did it anticlockwise from Belfast to Londonderry. Stopping in Derry, think you have dropped a clanger by not walking down to the Giants Causeway. It was amazing, but more like a 40 min walk each way from the carpark, and yes we were fully leathered up, with helmets........looking forward to the Welsh section, as I'm a South Wales lad. Cheers ShaftRides.

I really should have gone down for a look🤦♂️

Brilliant trip Shaun. Instantly recognise lots of your Wild Atlantic way route as only 30 mins from the Causeway coast. Attendant should have explained to you, there is a shuttle bus to the causeway, no requirement to pay unless you access through the visitor centre. The remainder of the coastal route is equally stunning from Carnlough to Newry.

Looks like you finally hit some sunshine and the roads look amazing so maybe I need to do an Ireland trip at some point. If I heard rightly this all happened late May, early June when I had a quick jaunt around Wales for three days but I left on May 26th so just before you arrived..

There is a mot in Northern Ireland from 4 yrs & every year after that. Everyone has to pay in to the causeway it’s owned by the national trust who uses the money for the up keep. He was telling you to go to the nest entrance I think you can walk in for nothing, your bike would be safe enough up that end area. Which I had new when you were there I would have made arrangement to take you around for the day .great video

Nice video, great scenery, coastal road is stunning,I don’t mind black pudding, don't eat sausage 🏴, I heard that about not needing an MOT in southern Ireland but that was 30 odd years ago ,not sure if its correct,

5:50. Aussie here. Loved the haggis. Never had it before visiting Scotland this year. I'll try and buy it here but it's not readily available. As for black pudding...I like it but prefer white pudding.

Great video as always. Like others have said MOT in NI but not in RoI. The scenic route is a single track road around the headland (Torr Head) but the road you took from Ballycastle over the mountain to Cushendall and then on to Carlingford is a better riders road. Glad you managed to catch the one day of summer we had this year.

Ah okay, don't mind a single track mind, but I'm glad I went for the castle road. Great days ridding👍🇨🇮

Nice one Shaun. One of my pet hates is people trying to make money from natural beauty. It's not like they made them. They do the same in Wales at Devil's bridge.

It's fine if someone is being paid to maintain it, but that was a whole other level of money making.

Loving this journey, pml at your description of black pudding and haggis, feckin hillarious, if you get the chance try ‘fruit pudding’ - white pudding with fruit, maybe sultanas, used to call it Spotty Dick, sort of cause and effect…..

28:20. The tourists on the Giants causeway are like ants. Imagine them driving down there? It would be total chaos. That's why they use shuttle buses or you walk. Worst thing about motorcycle touring is lugging your gear around if you are not happy to leave it on the bike.
@thelikeablerider88002 ай бұрын
Yes, looking at it like that, it would be utter chaos if it wasn't organised in some shape or form.

@thelikeablerider88002 ай бұрын
Yeah it's a real shame, but as someone else rightly pointed out, imagine the chaos if there wasn't some sort of organisation! For me though, it's always a put off having to pay to go look at nature.
