This is my favorite Irene Cara song too. It's one of the things I loved so much about DC Cab that they made her part of the movie.

I can’t understand why this song never had the same success “fame” and “flashdance” had. It was just as good as its predecessors.
@51pogo Жыл бұрын
This was one of two hits she had released at the same time on the charts, The other being from her album. The movie company moved up the release of DC cab, and also the DC cab soundtrack album by several months to capitalize on the booming popularity of Mr. T. If the release had been later as scheduled, I think this song would’ve reached a number one. It’s always been at one of my favorites by Irene - no it is my favorite.

I believe the movie held it back. Flashdance movie was more successful than DC Cab, and Fame was a mainstream hit. This song kinda gotta forgotten about.
