Then 5 minutes later those lads make their way into the jacks and come out dusty nosed ready to start shit. Please stop glorifying our drinking culture. It's problematic to say the least. Mine and my brother’s was like that when we were young, mine til I was 19. My brother’s now sandy haired, and I’m not much darker - bit like that guy Theo’s is I suppose. It’s strawberry blonde - Ed’s probably Irish himself 😁 Edit: I just read that his father’s Irish, there you go 😆

Its also about the atmosphere. There's (rarely) any agressiveness or showing off. It's not the goal. THe goal is craic. Craic is a good time. Going drinking in Ireland is basically just trying to have as much fun as possible. Be it stories, jokes, making fun of each other, funny shit happening. There's a reason we keep going at it despite the hangover consequences :D

UK has so many drunks that in the 80s they passed a law called “the measurement act” where it’s law to measure out spirits, wine, etc to exactly 50ml, 75mls etc. if you don’t then your pub/restaurant can get shut down. None of this “1,2,3” guestimating there 😂

Is that why you guys don't fill the pint glass up? Always feel offended when the glass isn't fully filled.

@@Cian._.We have the same thing here man. The Weights and Measures Act 1985. I asked my father about this he was a bartender for 30 odd years and all spirirts were measured to 35.5ml exactly.

@@Irishwild Oh really, then how come in Dublin alone on an average weekend there's easily 20 drunk drivers arrested. I'll also inform you right now that I'm a solicitor who lives in Dublin so I'm well aware of the high number of drink driving incidents in the whole country. For future reference it helps to actually know what you're on about before you incorrectly comment, contradict, assume and basically make a fool of yourself. 🤔🤦🏻♂️😂.

Hey Theo, my sister has an authentic Irish bar in the cathedral quarter San Diego. The furniture and decor/props was shipped over from here in Ireland. Irish traditional music and Irish dancers plus traditional Irish food. You should pay a visit, tell them I sent you and they'll look after you on the house of course..love you Theo Yvonne xx 🇮🇪

Story time... My Grandmother was Irish and my Dad would tell us stories about her. He said him and his brothers used to pick her up from the pub and take her home in a wheelbarrow and said she'd sing all the way home😅 Then when the neighbours would look out the window shed say "what ya looking at! Pull your head in!😅 I have also visited Ireland and loved the atmosphere of the pubs there. I had an allergy when I arrived there. It made my face red and puffy, and the only thing that made it go down was Guiness so off to the Brazen Head I went (oldest pub in Ireland) I drank 13 pints of Guinness!😅 The barman said to me "In all my time working in bars in Ireland, I haver NEVER seen a woman drink 13 pints of Guinness!😂 The allergys gone now haha. It's definately in the genes!😊 Cheers 🍻
