AyaFubuMi is hololive's first official unit, and they had a huge surge of songs in 2022. They also showed up in a few concerts as guests, and three of them get along well to boot. With a bit of a lull in activity, the three of them decided to get together and discuss their plans for the future as unit. Expand for translator's notes. 0:00 - Mio says "if we want to continue," because up until now, AyaFubuMi had mostly let the management team be in charge of getting the group together to create songs and whatnot. After a lull in activity, they decided they should be more proactive themselves if they want to stay together as a group. Though not in this clip, at the start of the collab Fubuki and Mio joked that "We haven't disbanded yet!" with Ayame chiming in saying "don't say yet like we're going to!" Fubuki also admitted she was often pretty scared that management would eventually tell them that they'd scrap plans for the group. That said, AyaFubuMi has a lot more activity than hololive's other official units (Kanata + Towa, Aqua/Subaru/Nene). 0:56 - My apologies for the awkward cuts here and there, but this clip would be too long if I kept everything. Before this point, the three of them talked about random things they wanted to do, including waterfall meditation, shrine visits, and so on. 2:49 - If you don't know what a prefecture is, you can think of it kind of like how the USA is divided into states. Most of the ideas behind AyaFubuMi are Japanese themed since the group itself has a strong traditional Japanese motif, hence why a lot of their songs include traditional instruments. 4:39 - Fubuki's "美味しい" may also mean "a good idea" instead of a "tasty" one, but I went with a tasty one considering they had been talking about food a lot throughout the stream, and trying out food. 5:36 - Tsubaki is personally my favorite song, and it was planned to have a digital release soon after they performed it... but it's been on hold for so long, nobody knows when it'll release anymore (not even the members themselves). I hope it releases soon lol. Also as a note, Keina Suda is the composer for songs like Charles, and is also known as the vocaloid composer BalloonP. They earned a song composed by him earlier this year. 6:16 - Due to the way Fubuki "begs" for concert outfits here, I decided to go with "pwease gib" to match her tone.
