We have a mt 100 at work and the thing i appreciate is the simplicity of the machine. Manual controls analog gauges just general function over features is great because it gets beat over rough ground sits outside on sit alot and just generally gets abused

Bought the IR-680 and really like it but wish they would've said it doesn't have float for the bucket.

Iron rino vs Kubota scl1000? Which is better at digging
@chipperllctrailersandequip421410 ай бұрын
Honestly we haven't had the opportunity to test against the Kubota Mini Skid side by side with the Iron-Rhino. I pulled the specs from each's web site and would expect the Iron-Rhino to come out on top as it weighs in a little heavier with counterweights which are included standard at 3376# vs 3035# and a higher tip rating 3190 vs 2857. See iron-rhino.com/ir1000 and www.kubotausa.com/docs/default-source/spec-sheets/scl1000-spec-sheet.pdf?sfvrsn=98e55caf_2

What is that stump grinder in the back ground?

Bandit SG40. We run them in our rentals and sell them with very low hours often as we are turning over rental equipment frequently and like them. We have one for sale with only 5 hours at www.chipperllcsales.som

All I have to say is that loader lift speed is not good to be fastest. That is dangerous and it SUCKS to lower a loader when at max capacity. First thing is do is put limiters on that system right away. Toro speed is the best. Period, no argument. I’ve had way too many guys throw buckets over top of the hood and themselves and smash trailers and trucks. To me that says nothing more than unregulated controls

Noted: But as you can see both the Iron-Rhino and Bobcat MT85 share the same arms speed meaning they are allocating comparable fluid flow to the arms work function so both Iron-Rhino and Bobcat deem that arm speed safe. Any time you have a full bucket and lower it, when you stop it puts a kinetic load on the machine which is one of the reasons operators are trained that you work with arms low an only lift safe loads and further only lift to that height to dump. As an operator trained on working with loads safely, I appreciate the speed. Faster cycle times means more work done at the end of the day. But I get it that it can be hard to get operators to work as they should, that's always a struggle. Thanks for the comment.

@@chipperllctrailersandequip4214 not necessarily a problem for me but employees yes. Our John Deere loaders are the slowest loader speed yet can lift the most but yet they have the least smashed hoods! Least accidents. Our company owns 80 e42 excavators and they get the boom speeds adjusted before they get delivered right away. Our insurance goes down every year because of this and the operators like it better. Anywho, I might have to have a phone call with you, I’m interested in one of those mini skids

Chinese machine, say no more. Cheaper is never better. I bought a Toro tx1000 and would never even consider that Chinese machine.
@chipperllctrailersandequip42142 жыл бұрын
We have the Iron-Rhino machines in our rentals and have been happy with them. We used to rent TX1000 and have had about the same amount of uptime/downtime with both machines. If I have a risk of having a breakdown with any machine I'll pick the one that costs $10,000 less. That leaves $ to pay for a rental if a breakdown or pay for other equipment. Good luck with the TX1000 it's a good machine. Our reason for the change to Iron-Rhino was 1) Lower cost of machine 2) Lower cost of parts 3) easy to work on. Best regards!

Need to compare it to the kubotA scl1000
@chipperllctrailersandequip42142 жыл бұрын
The Kubota SCL1000 is very new machine with limited supply and VERY hard to get hands on one. It is the same weight class machine but until we get one which might not be for a long time I cannot provide the SCL1000 comparison. There simply isn't much information on those machines since they have only recently come out. We did the MT85, TX1000 and IR1000 comparison based on years of experience. It will be a while before we could do that with the SCL1000 as we haven't even seen one in person yet. Kubota makes some great machines so we will be keeping our eyes out for those at our local dealer.
