Iruma is usually just an innocent boy but he has these single times every arc where he is full blown bad*ss that are always a treat to watch. Him literally shooting his fears down is great imagery for his development as well

I have watched this scene so many times and only now just realized that when the arrow hits the creature, the image it shows is Iruma’s parents. I think that is supposed to symbolize him fully accepting his life as a “demon” or just good catharsis

Meh, you may not like it but this anime does have it’s wholesome moments. In fact that Iruma character development Of wanting to be a hero is similar to another anime boy I know who also wants to be hero: Deku

It's just that one of the main things he wants is for the people he cares about to be safe and happy: yes, that includes random innocent people.
