I definitely agree that there is a time and a place for teachers and mentors. Within the witchcraft community specifically, I truly believe it depends on the individual's learning style and what works best for them. Some people really enjoy being taught information in a one-on-one setting, especially if they struggle grasping these abstract concepts on their own. However, I'm over here like... "Get out of my way and leave me alone so I can figure it out myself." 😂 For me, teachers and mentorships don't work because it goes against my learning style. I end up just getting annoyed. Lol. But I can see where they are beneficial for other people!

Yes, I agree. I can see how teachers would annoy you. How do you handle that within a traditional school setting?
@IvyTheOccultist2 жыл бұрын
@@CricketSong Oh, I handle it horribly. 😂😂😂 School settings are extremely difficult for me. I usually do research on my professors beforehand so I can pick a professor that mainly just gives reading material and leaves students alone. I can't handle heavy lecture professors. It's a struggle! 😆

I agree with you.. it's a little of both. Learning the how to list of basics like shadow journaling, steps to show respect to spirits, ect are very helpful to get started. While I feel I've learned a LOT from spirits I work with.. many times they use people as resources of specific knowledge. That to me is a little of both.. spirit and human guidance . This may sound a little cliche; but, the best teachers are still students of life 🖤

[...wanders in out of the wild again, after either far too long or not nearly long enough; we're still not sure...] Oh, hi there Cricket! Well, it seems like you're still awesome. "Some things change, and some things never do." As to the topic at hand, let's see if we can come up with something inappropriately pithy and trippy: "A teacher helps you learn how to advance more safely, while a mentor helps you find more ways to get yourself in trouble. These roles are not mutually exclusive, so the best you can hope for is to get them in the right order."

Love it! I can certainly agree with the comparison of teacher and mentor. Oh, and thanks for the compliment. I'd like to think that I was ever awesome. Glad to see your user name pop up in the comments. :)

OK so question? Is that a cat in a box & why is there a cat in a box? I’ve never seen that before (so no I’m not trying to be a smart ass) I’m just surprised to see a cat in a box/cage? As for your video I wholeheartedly agree with both aspects? Being there is truly no way to learn to experience energy without someone I.e. reiki but clearly someone started somewheres without another person? So there’s that? Blessed Be 😉

That is a pet hutch and yes, that is my cat. We have coyotes here in our area and more than a few cats have been killed by them. Thank you for watching and sharing your thoughts on the topic. Much love!

@@CricketSong thank you for that , I’ve never seen one? Very cool! I guess I have a crazy cat cause he loves to go after our coyotes, lol!
@CricketSong2 жыл бұрын
Oh I am most certain that my cat would go after the coyotes if he encountered one and I am sure he would put up a good fight, but since they travel in packs here I am worried that he would not survive.
