Yep, people should always pull for who they like. But if we're being fair, this is hardly a controversial opinion and is frankly useless compared to meta talks, particularly for new players. As it stands, Acheron is weaker than a bunch of 1.x units. According to Prydwn, over the past 3 patches, the following characters have outperformed her: - In MOC: Ratio - In Apocalypic Shadow: Ratio, Himeko, Argenti, JL - In Pure Fiction: Argenti, Himeko, Clara, Blade And the gap further widens when you include 2.x units. People are free to provide alternative performance metrics if they disagree with the facts.

​@@Radiant450While I do think that Sunday will great in the new Servant meta, I highly doubt he'll be the BiS support for all characters. Reason being, leaks have indicated that the new TB will be a sub-dps Servant unit, so there's obviously going to be dual dps comps (similar to FuA). Leaks have also predicted a nihility meta in 3.4/3.5 (conveniently around the Fate release date). Therefore, I'm guessing that the ideal Servant team comp down the line will be: Servant 1 - Servant 2 - Nihility debuffer - Sustain Sunday, being a ST buffer, doesn't really fit here unless you go sustainless. It also makes sense why Hoyo might be trying to shift the Harmony support meta to Nihility as they try to keep the game fresh.

Short answer, "your account" The only reason I'm grabbing Acherons e2 is bc she's already e1, s1. Got lucky on her banner and got 2 of her, grabbed her lightcone and was broke lol. So I told myself as a pass only player she will be my only e2. I've been playing since start, so my accounts pretty comfy. I'm at the point where I can grab something I want rather than need. Acherons e2 is a want. If I lose my 50/50 I'm not chasing it.

The main consideration for me, since 2.0 we've been kind of delving into not just pulling 1 char, but very highly incentivized to pull for "sets" of characters. So, for Acheron pullers, could be how willing are you to cough up pulls for JQ, or any future nihility for that matter. There a reason HMC was a freebie, it be a PR disaster if he was limited and was essentially forced to pull to make Firefly do not ass damage. XD

Can't really fault either choice tbh Aventurine: - Making progress towards a Follow-up (Fua) comp with at least: [Insert Main dps], Topaz, hunt March 7, Aventurine - Which pretty much incentivizes to at least secure a fua mdps like Feixiao, or whatever future debut banners that is a fua dps. Firefly: - being such a low cost comp to get off the ground and running, which can be useful for your 2nd comp to make progress into endgame. - should also consider securing pulls for Ruan Mei, or if there is perhaps another break related support in the near future...

personally wouldn't pull for rerun dps, with the way things went, 3.0 dps might do exactly what the 2.0 dps did to the 1.0 dps. unless of course you really want the character, then it doesn't matter what anyone says :)

I think there is definitelly point in investing horizontally to the point where you have all elements covered. Colourless breaking is cool, but it's not always ideal. Acheron may no longer be best character in game, but she is certainly best LIGHTNING character in game and is worth pulling if you are missingo one. That said, hear me out! If you have Jing Yuan already, he will game extremely good with Sunday and of course later will be good with other DPS later too.

Super super short IMO: If you're just starting out (ex under a month or so) Skip everything and save for 3.0. If you've been playing for a few months and don't have an established team Build for break/Super break. Then save to start building a 3.x team. If you're an older player than that then your priority goes: S1> JQ> E2 (if and only if you can guarantee the E2 pull.) There's a chance that E0S1 Acheron's team comp might change in 3.x but as long as you have S1 and JQ you're more than fine on stack gen.

Just to make it clear, Acheron is still stronger than every 1.X DPS. She's actually amazing when there's multiple elite/boss enemies. I think she does better than Feixiao on the first half of the current MoC. She's also exceptionally good in Pure Fiction if you have Jiaoqiu. I don't even have her Light Cone yet and I never had any issues with clearing conent (except against Hoolay, but she's not made for him)

you don't need 8 mins of video, here: i am playing Acheron S1, Jiaoqiu, Sparkle, Lingsha/Gallagher (doesnt matter) When to pick: do you have jiaoqiu for some f*cked up reason? good. do you ALSO have enough for her lightcone? awesome. she can clear every thing with herself, jiaoqiu, add stack generating character either nihility or advance support, sustain pretty much everything that isn't bailu, gepard or whatever his name is shield guy from xianzou. if you can't get Her + Lightcone + Jiaoqiu then it's a waste of pulls, i love acheron but i can guarantee if i picked her up right now i'd regret it as much as i regreted getting sparkle when i started playing star rail Acheron is bound to nihility teams and does full screen clear, i bet you Herta who is also an emenator OF ERUDITION will in fact full screen clear and she'll be able to work with actuall harmony units instead of needing full nihility. Also it's a gacha game you'll probably like another character as much in the next 3 months, and acheron is closing in on 1 full year of release.

Acheron reminds me of her counterpart in Genshin, Raiden who also generally needs up to her 2nd duplicate to really get good. The big difference is that Raiden has a F2P weapon (The Catch) removing a big chunk of the unit's cost (the need to pull for signature weapon). Acheron has a major problem of needing her signature lightcone since she can't use the majority of the Nihility ones, and can't use any of the F2P ones either.

The game is already dead easy at C0, going for her C2 is just overkill which makes the game more boring Tbh, I dont understand the point of your comment bringing up Raiden, a genshin character, in an Acheron discussion video. The point of the video is whether Acheron is worth the investment for someone who missed her on her initial release given that the meta is moving so quick. This goes beyond signature lc, you have to pull the right teammates as well in order to maximize her kit. All other archetypes have quite a room for improvement while she is nearing her peak. You wanna fit the Raiden narrative in HSR so badly? I'll give you a proper one. You can think that Acheron is like Raiden that is stuck with either Raiden National or Raiden Hypercarry. Her traditional teams are already at max. Another unit may come along from time to time, like Chevy for overload, but wont really push her up, just another way to play her. Other teams are popping like Hyperbloom (super break) and Furina-buffed (follow-up) which uses way less investment to work for the same outcome. Luckily for Raiden in genshin, she is usable in Hyperbloom. I can't say the same for Acheron on super break

I don't think I agree about the light cone. In this game getting the lc is more of an expectation rather than optional and you swim in stellar jades compared to gemmies so it should be reasonable to secure the light cone. In any case I think the answer is clear, she will be a fine unit to invest in but we're approaching 3.0 I think a frugal player interested in meta would probably be better saving up for the cracked 3.0 units that powercreep the 2.0 ones.

@@Borovski213 thats the sad reality, acheron has damn near hit her peak, she isn’t tied to the major archetypes in the game like FUA or DoT or break, she is a traditional crit dps who wants debuffs and ult related buffs, this isn’t an archetype in the game and therefore is hard to buff without making something turbo niche like JQ, who is good don’t get me wrong, but his value and success is tied to acheron and his supportive capabilities are decent but not harmony level strong. Her best E0 team is already Robin + JQ + QPQ gallagher, pretty hard to remove Robin from this team ngl she provides too much, and gallagher is a battery for Robin here and also applies debuffs.

So I just started playing a month ago and the only DPS I'm gonna be pulling for is Firefly. From what I've seen she's really F2P friendly with Fall of an Aeon and Gallagher, Harmony MC + she inflicts Fire weakness even if the enemy doesn't have it. Break effect relics are also way easier to farm. That's not the only reason, I just like the characters story in penacony and SAMs theme is living in my head rent free.

I don't think there's anything wrong with her E1. This is coming from someone who has an E1/S1 Acheron. She needs as much crit as possible, even more than other units. She is a Hypercarry and her ultimate can take time to build up. Meaning, you need that ultimate to crit as much as possible to maximize your team's damage. Going for E1 Acheron allows you to run Crit damage chests as opposed to Crit Rate. This might not seem like much, but Crit damage chests have better scaling over time because it means less grinding. And this should go without saying, but Eidolons aren't easy to get! Each Eidolon is the equivalent to pulling 160 times on average (depending on your luck). If you want to help Acheron out, there's no shame in going for E1, then save for E2. Or S1, then E1 if you have leftover pulls. She's Hoyoverse's best girl, she's going to get more than one rerun a year (unlike Dr. Ration...)

100% Agree. I think this popular take of devaluing E1 is pretty wild. It makes relic build alot easier. Of course the e2 is supreme with using one nihility unit and like you said e2 can be the next goal for someone after getting s1 and e1. Hot take of mine but id argue that her e2 could have its valued reduced overtime depending on what future nihility units get released. Currently, she only has one best in slot nihility debuffer, and that's Jiaoqiu, and the value of e2 is being able to use a harmony character which in this current state harmony characters are on top and their value is greater than a 2nd debuffer, which makes sense. The extra stacking of e2 while nice its also isnt really needed. Where im getting at is mostly i think an eventuality but if/when hoyo decides to release debuffers on par with harmony units the value of e2 drops a lot. E2 will still be good of course but have less meaning if this takes place. Acheron is interesting because at her e0 and e1 state there isnt really a "Premium team" yet(like how feixiao has aventurine robin topaz). On the flipside this is also the reason why i think acheron herself will age better than what people think depending on future units, but imma sit back and wait. Personally im not going for e2, would rather save my pulls for sunday and for reasons i just mentioned

@@letsgo1572 She's far from useless, but the rampant power creep of this game is showing no signs of slowing down is so it's a reasonable assumption to make that it'll continue with 3.x as well. People thought Jingliu was top tier at the tail end of 1.x, now she's barely even relevant anymore. I don't think Acheron will suffer that badly but in general, pulling for dps characters on reruns haven't been the best idea in this game with how rapidly new characters end up coming out to power creep them.

There's plenty of private server testing that shows JY (at equivalent or lower investment) outperforming Acheron teams next patch in all game modes. Until Acheron receives another synergistic partner, she's just not worth pulling over a shiny new dps or existing supports. And I say this as an E2S1 Acheron main with a top #62 build on Seeleland. It's sad to admit, but she is just not up to par with other 2.x units at E0 and her below-average statistics on Prydwn and CN sources further proves this point.

I'm undecided and would love some advice. For DPSes I have Boothill, E1 Kafka, Black Swan, DHIL (mostly benched), Blade (mostly benched). For supports I have Ruan Mei, Sparkle, Luocha, Silver Wolf. Also have Clara, Himeko, Gepard, Bronya from standard. I wanted to pull for Acheron as Boothill is the only DPS that feels comfy so Acheron could be a fun second team with Kafka/BS. But now I'm not sure!! Should I pull for who I like (Acheron) or save for meta that will end up changing in the long run anyway??

I recommend either going acheron or firefly(likely to come with fugue), I don't see you have any of the "meta" units so as long as you 1 or 2 of those (1 if you have an ok team that can complete MOC, PF, and Apoc) so you can just clear end game and get the rewards. As stated, acheron gear can be a pain to get as you need good rolls in crits and attack to be good while ff focus speed and BE, or instead of ff you can try for rappa as she is a solid break character as well if you want.

Invest in Himeko- she was my first 5star & she keeps getting better with each new game mode. Get your Herta, Asta, and Harmony MC & Hunt March 7th maxed out- they’re all excellent sub-dps options. I love Adventurine as a sustain, if you’re looking to pull one shielder, then he’s the best! Good luck & have fun!

A quick simple solution in my mind is IF you can clears all content pretty easily (doesn't need to be 0 cycle) and you can hold your fomo feelings go save your jades because 3.0 is pretty close and I'm pretty sure the whole meta will be shifted. For eidolon investment the only thing i can recomend is supports eidolon, for LC back to the main solution if you can clear you can easily skip it, it's all depends on your current account state.

Unless you really like Acheron, it's better to pull for future DPS. Acheron at minimum need two nihility although she can buffed by future nihility. If you pull Acheron now, you go for a long time investment and have meh DPS. I suggest aventurine. He legit powercrep gepard and you can just swap gepard relic and light cone to him.

acheron does require a lot of investment, you need multi crit rolls on your relics to be good. if you want another team you can also go for rappa or wait for firefly which is likely rerun with fugue just so you can clear end game stuff. Or if more information comes out for what is after 2.7 and you like what you see, if you can suffer missing end game stuff for another month or something you can go for that as well.

Pull Aventurine if you don't have at least 2 good sustain (you already have Gallagher, so you need one other good sustain). During 3.X you will see if it's interesting to pull for Acheron or skip to new DPS... Don't pull Acheron just because you already have Jiaoqiu....

If ur acheron team can clear things pretty easily then you dont NEED e2 of course. If you have a solid 2nd team and you want to boost your acheron team for end game content then go for it. I would say, if you have 2 teams that are used for end game content then you have leeway, if you are struggling with your acheron team but have another team set up, I recommend e2 if you have a harmony character that can boost acheron or another unit that can some how help acheron, if you don't have a 2nd team just save so you can start clearing end game content and get more rewards.
