People always hate on punk or think he's washed up cuz he gets to the very end of all the biggest and best tourneys and loses sometimes badly. What they don't realize is this guy achieves this without giving 100%. Let me explain, the guys punk goes against in all those finals or even losers finals are always players that stick to their 1 main and 1 backup character. They only use those 2 characters and practice using only those two character, ALWAYS!. THEY DEDICATE EVERYTHING TO WINNING THOSE TOURNEYS AND DON'T WAVER FOR ANY REASON! Punk on the other hand is all over the place, I think his content creator side severely holds him back. Punk uses all kinds of characters and even plays other games very close to our leading up to these big tourneys. I've seen him go online and consistently use other random characters weeks away and even days away from huge tournaments. He constantly tries other characters or things and even other games for his content and I think that's what holds him back, honestly I think he's wasting his huge and rare talent without taking advantage or going hard at winning those championships for the 🇺🇲. I think if he truly stuck to his guns and said f this no more effing around and when I do content it will only be with my mains (like all the other top competitors do) then he will consistently win. I hope he brings home these cups and championships for 🇺🇲, I hope he focuses on his mains and years everybody up.

I played this game for a year since release, yet now i feel like it just got released as Akuma is the first character i actually have an interest in maining and not just playing 2-3 matches before swapping to someone else. I’m only going back and forth between high plat and low diamond so for me it doesn’t even matter how good a character is, but he’s just mad fun.

That’s how I’ve felt about the sf6 roster too. No character interested me enough to play. I bought at release and switched over to Tekken 8 for the past year. Akuma actually feels fun enough to go back and actually play sf6.

I'm trying my best to get better but because I play so many other games I feel like I can't get past SILVER as a celling top for ranked. I can get casuals with ease and then have some good matches with competitive players like myself that maybe play a lot of other games and don't invest a lot of time but I feel like that next step up I really struggle with. I keep making mistakes of doing anti-air moves when I don't mean to then get punished, I can't get combos down and I feel like I am just stuck. I have always loved fighting games I want to get to the next level I just don't know how.

Tips-learn anti airs, whiff punishes and proper spacing that alone will get you to plat. You can know basic bnbs.
